The Qingxiu temple on the top of Fengshan mountain was built in the year of baoyunnian (1038) of emperor Renzong of the Song Dynasty. Zhao Gou, Emperor Gaozong of the Song Dynasty, once landed in the temple. There are couplets in the temple. The temple is the largest temple in Longquan City, with Daxiong hall, Tianwang hall and zhaishe. There are two Tangzhi osmanthus trees in the mountain gate, which are called tanggui. On the left side, they are 15 meters high and 0.74 meters in diameter at breast height. On the right side, they are 16 meters high and 0.8 meters in diameter at breast height. Because the branches and leaves of two Osmanthus fragrans trees intersect, they are called husband wife tree, which attracts many pilgrims to worship and tourists from all directions to visit the temple.
At the top of the mountain, there was a white maple tree, which was in the shape of an ostrich (destroyed by lightning in 1939). On the hillside of Fengshan mountain, there is an ancient bronze bell of you in the Southern Song Dynasty. If you hit it in the morning or midnight, it will be heard ten miles away, and the sound will linger. After visiting Qingxiu temple, you can go to Jiangcheng South Road to burn ginger juice and eat eggs mixed with ginger juice, which is very famous in the local area.
Qingxiu Temple
As the name suggests, Qingxiu temple is used by Buddhist monks for meditation. The temple can provide such an environment for people to meditate, reflect on themselves and examine themselves.
It is located on the top of Fengshan mountain in Taizhou City, Zhejiang Province. It was formerly known as ta'an. The temple was officially built in 1038, the first year of the reign of emperor Renzong of the Song Dynasty. It was granted by Emperor Yingzong of the Song Dynasty in 1066. In the third year of Jianyan (1129) of the Southern Song Dynasty, the Jin soldiers crossed the river. Zhao Gou, Emperor Gaozong, fled to the south in a hurry. He went to Haimen, boarded Qingxiu temple, looked at Jiaojiang River in the north, and looked at the sea in the East. He wrote a couplet of "Qingxiu scenery has existed for thousands of years, and the sea opens with a smile", and wrote two unique sentences in the monk's room. One of them said: "the ancient temple is more beautiful in spring, with long pines and bamboo trees. If you want to add tea sets, you will sleep on the couch." The gate and main hall of the temple still exist in the Qing Dynasty, some of which were left over from the reconstruction in the Kangxi period. In the Ming Dynasty, the four stone pillars of Fu Lian foundation in the main hall were shaped like shuttles. The Fu Lian was very shallow and the proportion was thick and short, so it was earlier. At the west end of the mountain gate, there is an ancient well. The spring comes out of the rock, and the well wall is supported by stones. It is located on the top of the mountain, but the drought is not dry. The "qingxiujixue" in the eight sceneries of old Haimen is here. A bronze bell of Southern Song Dynasty is hung in the Bell Pavilion on the hillside of Fengshan mountain. If you hit the bell in the morning or midnight, it will be heard ten miles away, and the sound will linger.
