This area is a part of Jundu mountain range, which is located in the west end of Yanshan subsidence zone. The landform is mainly composed of gully, middle mountain and valley erosion terrace. There are two rivers in this area, one is from Yudu mountain to Sancha River, and the other is from Wulipo to Sancha River. Both rivers originate from Haituo mountain area and converge into a stream at Sancha River to Longqing gorge. Because of the granite fissure development in Haituo mountain area and the dense vegetation in the upstream, the bedrock fissure water is rich, so the river water volume is large. Even in the dry season, there is spring water supply and it flows all the year round. Because of the good hydrological conditions, less human activities and closed nature, the plants in this area grow luxuriantly and have a wide variety.

According to the investigation of Capital Normal University and Forestry University, arbors are mainly composed of Valley mixed forests dominated by pine, birch, Populus davidiana, Quercus liaotungensis, Tilia amurensis and Syringa oblongata; shrubs are mainly composed of Ulmus pumila, Lespedeza bicolor, Corylus heterophylla, Corylus heterophylla, Spiraea, Rhamnus rhamnoides, Prunus davidiana, Vitex negundo and Prunus armeniaca; herbs are mainly composed of 100 grass communities, and some Vitex negundo and shrub are combined, and the vegetation coverage is high High (Yudu mountain around up to 100%), variety, good growth, is a natural North botanical garden.

Wildlife resources are also very rich. According to the Department of biology of Capital Normal University, there are 184 species of vertebrates, including more than 20 mammals, 11 orders, 29 families and 125 species of birds. There are 16 species of wildlife under state key protection, 14 species under Beijing key protection and 16 species under Beijing general protection.

The climate here is typical mountain climate with obvious vertical distribution. Due to the high altitude, the air temperature here is lower than that near the county seat, the daily difference is larger, and the precipitation is more than that near the county seat.

Development history

Because of its deep mountains, this area has been a revolutionary base since the Anti Japanese war. In 1940, the division headquarters of Pingbei army was transferred from Luanping to nanniangou, 1.5km north of Haigou village, Wulipo. On July 1, 1981, the Party committee and government of Yanqing County set up commemorative plates and pavilions to commemorate the great achievements of the revolutionaries of the older generation. Young students often come here to hold commemorative activities. There are 6 natural villages (Lujiahe, gaojiahe, Sujiahe, Wulipo, Haigou, Wujianfang), 100 households and 362 people in total. After liberation, the government allocated a lot of funds and materials to support the old areas, built simple roads and set up power lines. In preparation for the development of Yudu mountain scenic spot, all the villagers have moved out.

Yudu mountain area

Yudu mountain, also known as "Yiduo mountain", is a 20 meter high Lidui mountain with an altitude of 860 meters. The top of the mountain is flat and full of shrubs. The top of the mountain is only 20 meters long and 7.8 meters wide. The lithology is conglomerate. Although the mountain is not high, it is extremely steep. If it is pulled up from the ground, there is a small temple on the top of the mountain, named "Yuhuang Temple". Now the temple has been destroyed, leaving only the wall foundation and broken bricks. Yudu mountain is a green world surrounded by lush vegetation. The vegetation is excellent, and the stream under the mountain flows continuously all the year round, and it doesn't freeze in winter. The pebbles and pebbles in the stream are well rounded. In spring, summer and autumn, the flowers bloom continuously. The mountains are clear and the water is beautiful, and the birds sing and the flowers smell. It is a quiet valley scenery with wonderful combination of mountains, water and forest.

Northwest ditch, southwest ditch

The lithology is conglomerate, which is scoured by river water. The stream flows all the year round. The exposed rocks and sedimentary layers are distributed alternately at the bottom of the valley. Therefore, the water flows suddenly, sometimes on the ground and sometimes underground. The vegetation is luxuriant, covering more than 95% of the total area. The main plants are Pinus tabulaeformis, Populus, Betula, Populus davidiana, Quercus liaotungensis, Prunus armeniaca, Prunus davidiana, Corylus heterophylla, Spiraea, Rhamnus rhamnoides, Vitex negundo, etc. the rare plants such as tiller, Ulmus pumila, medicinal plants, etc. it is worth mentioning that there is an exposed rock in xibeigou, where the valley is narrow and steep, the rock walls on both sides are steep and majestic, and the valley bottom is smooth There is a pool under the rock. The water is clear and there are aquatic plants growing. There is a scarp on the pool. When the water is large, it can form a waterfall. It is a good place for picnics. In addition, you can climb Haituo mountain straight up the northwest gully, which is smaller than that from Songshan mountain.

Lujiahe Valley

About 15 km, the bottom of the west section is wide, and the river flows behind. The river is covered with well rounded gravel of different sizes and colors. The white and big one looks like a group of lying sheep. The bottom of Longqing Canyon in the east section is narrow, and there are many landscapes. Xiaogushan: in the east of gaojiahe village, there is a pagoda shaped CONGLOMERATIC Hill away from Duishan, which is eroded by the river. It is more than 10 meters away. From a distance, it looks like a pagoda and rises from the ground. Shuangsong Temple site: there is shuangsong Temple site in the east of gaojiahe village. The temple was built in the Ming Dynasty and later destroyed in the war. It was rebuilt in the Qing Dynasty. Because the temple is close to Qinglong mountain in the north and there are two pines in the courtyard, it is called "Qinglong mountain shuangsong Temple". There are three headless stone Buddhas, a stone tablet and a 20 meter long wall base. Teapot mountain: a teapot shaped mountain to the east of the south of shuangsong temple. In summer, you can see the teapot mountain from a distance in the valley. In the mist, it looks like the southern mountains.

It is said that when jianyingmeng temple was built, there was no water nearby, so people had to carry water and mud from the bottom of the mountain. One day, an old man picked up two teapots of water with a stalk to let the temple builder and the mud envoy. One of them said with a smile: "this is just a joke. How can two teapots of water and mud? Throw it into the West Ditch As soon as the words fell, the sorghum stalk made a decision. One pot fell on yingmeng temple, where a clear spring came out. The other one fell on the stone mountain and turned into a peak, which is now the teapot mountain.

Wulipo

It is a fault block rising mountain with an altitude of 800-1600 meters. The annual average temperature is low, the evaporation is small, the relative temperature of the air is high, and the water resources are rich. In the eastern carbonate area, the terrain is steep, the valley is developed, and the vegetation is sparse. In the southern quartz sandstone area, the rock weathering degree is deep, the soil layer on the shady slope is deep, the water content is high, the humus content is high, the vegetation grows well, and the dead branches fall The leaves can reach 4-10 cm, the soil quality of sunny slope is poor, the rock debris is more, the texture is coarse, the water content is less, the vegetation is mostly shrubs or herbs, the coverage is also low, the andesite outcrop in the northwest is mostly rock exposed zone, near the trench, the main vegetation is mainly vegetation
