Basic Display

Dongyang historical and cultural exhibition focuses on three themes: the place of singing mountains and painting water, the land of developing education and the hometown of hundred industries and competitions: collecting cultural relics unearthed from Mound Tombs in the spring and Autumn period of the Western Zhou Dynasty to clarify that Dongyang is an important place of ancient Yue; displaying wuzhiwang county with celadon products from Geshan kiln and Gefu kiln and relics from Nansi pagoda; focusing on the formation of the atmosphere of advocating culture and education, diligent study and hard work, and "the hometown of talents" ”Through the exhibition of Dongyang wood carving, bamboo weaving and other exquisite crafts, this paper describes the historical origin of "hometown of hundred crafts" and "hometown of architecture". The exhibition systematically introduces the history and culture of Dongyang by combining cultural relics with pictures and scenes.

Collection

Dongyanglong fossil is a late Cretaceous dinosaur skeleton fossil, belonging to sauropod herbivorous giant dinosaurs. It is a new genus and new species of this dinosaur and one of the best dinosaur fossils in East China.

The wooden Buddha statue of the Five Dynasties is a representative work of ancient Dongyang wood carving. It has plump cheeks and a smile as usual. It is dressed in cassock and stands on the lotus terrace with bare feet. Its body is placed in a Buddhist niche.

In the spring and Autumn period, the jade bottle was cylindrical in shape, with curved cover and movable embedded ears. The overall production was extremely fine, showing the first-class technological level 2500 years ago.

Wuzhou celadon in the Tang Dynasty is a local product of Dongyang. It has a sunflower mouth, a bean and a sunflower mouth, an arc-shaped bottom, a trumpet shaped ring foot, and a bluish yellow glaze inside and outside.
