Guxuantingkou
Guxuantingkou is located in the downtown area of Shaoxing City, Zhejiang Province. It goes down the Wangtai of Yue and goes through Hengfu street to a T-shaped street. Here is guxuantingkou.
brief introduction
On one side of the monument is the monument to the martyrs of Qiujin, which was completed in 1930. On it is written the inscription "memorial to the martyrs of Qiujin" written by Mr. Cai Yuanpei.
Where Qiu Jin died
Shaoxing's ancient xuantingkou can be recorded in modern Chinese history. Qiu Jin, a famous martyr of China's democratic revolution, died here. In 1907, on the eve of the revolution of 1911, Qiu Jin was arrested in Datong school. In the auditorium of Shanyin county magistrate's trial, she was righteous and unyielding. She wrote down the famous poem "autumn wind and autumn rain make people sad" with the pen and ink of the enemy's confession. Not long after, Qiu Jin died at the entrance of the ancient pavilion.
