The Museum of Yue Kiln celadon in eastern Zhejiang Province is located in Yuyao City in the east of Zhejiang Province. It is close to Hangzhou Bay in the north and Siming Mountain in the south, just one step away from "Shunjiang tower" and "Tongji Bridge". It is a private museum approved by Zhejiang Provincial Department of culture. Its collection includes Western Zhou Dynasty, spring and autumn and Warring States period, Eastern Han Dynasty, Three Kingdoms, two Jin Dynasties, southern and Northern Dynasties, Sui and Tang Dynasties, Five Dynasties and Northern Song Dynasty.
Collection
Shanglin lake, the representative site of Yue Kiln, is located in Cixi City near Yuyao. Yue Kiln is the founder of China's porcelain kiln and the representative of China's celadon kiln. It is the most famous celadon kiln system in ancient China. In the Eastern Han Dynasty, China's earliest porcelain was successfully fired in the dragon kiln of Yue Kiln, which is a milestone in the history of human civilization. Yue Kiln experienced the process of creation, development, prosperity and decline in the history of more than one thousand years from the Eastern Han Dynasty to the Southern Song Dynasty. The two centuries from the middle Tang Dynasty to the early Northern Song Dynasty were the heyday of Yue kilns. Its production scale, technological level and product quality were in the leading position among the famous kilns. Yue celadon is not only a tribute to the imperial court, but also for the common people. It has always been a popular daily utensil and a treasure for the royal family. It is also exported to nearly 20 countries and regions in Asia and Africa. The production technology of Yue Kiln has a far-reaching influence on many kilns in North and South China, celadon production in Korean Peninsula, Japan and even the whole world.
Yue Kiln celadon Museum in eastern Zhejiang, China is one of the public welfare museums, which is open to the public free of charge throughout the year. More than 30 items in the museum have reached the national first-class cultural relics standard. Since its opening, the Museum of Yue Kiln celadon in eastern Zhejiang, China has been widely concerned and recognized at home and abroad, and has had a profound international and domestic social impact.
Zhedong Yue Kiln celadon museum not only receives a considerable number of domestic Yue Kiln celadon authorities, experts, scholars, Yue Kiln enthusiasts and students from Shanghai and South Korea, but also receives some experts from South Korea, Japan, Britain, France and Italy, as well as fans of cultural relics from other countries. Many well-known media units in China have reported on the Celadon of Yue Kiln in eastern Zhejiang and its founder Chen Guozhen, including the "focus on China" column of Phoenix Satellite TV and Hong Kong Cable TV, as well as some newspapers and magazines in Shanghai, Hangzhou and Ningbo.
In April 2010, the museum also participated in the 2010 Private Museum Development Summit Forum held in Datang City, Xi'an. The treasure of the town hall, the granary jar of the Eastern Han Dynasty with green glaze and figures, was rated as the national treasure of the folk collection and the "champion" of the activity in the ancient ceramic competition.
Development history
Yuyao has Hemudu culture 7000 years ago. Since the Han Dynasty, Yuyao masters have emerged in large numbers, so it has the reputation of "Yaojiang people are the best in the world". Yu Fan of the Three Kingdoms is a famous scholar of the book of changes; Yu Xi of the Eastern Jin Dynasty discovered the precession first; Yu Shinan, a great calligrapher of the Sui and Tang Dynasties, was praised as one of the five great calligraphers by Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty. Yan Ziling, Wang Yangming, Zhu Shunshui and Huang Zongxi are known as the "four sages", while Wang Yangming and Huang Zongxi are listed among the top ten thinkers in China Celebrity bachelor. Therefore, Yuyao is also known as "the most famous city in Southeast China" and "the famous state of literature".
