Nanhuizui Sea View Park
The place name of Nanhui is recorded in the book of the old Tang Dynasty that "after the Yangtze river went out to sea, it was supported by the tide and turned to the south, where it met with the Qiantang River". The land formed is called Nanhui. And the southeast end of the end is the most protruding mouth, so after hundreds of years, the changes of time, the vicissitudes of life, the extension of the mainland, its shape has not changed, from Huinan displacement to this point, then became "Nanhui mouth".
More than 2000 years ago, the land was formed by "the Yangtze River, supported by the tide, turned southward and converged with the Qiantang River", so it was called "Nanhui mouth", and was once called "Haiqu" and "Nansha". In 1386 (the 19th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty), the Ming government built a city and set up a garrison in Nanhuizui (now Huinan town) for Japanese pirates. Nanhui became a land around the Tang Dynasty. It was founded in 1726. When it was founded, the county was named "Nanhui" because the county government was located in Nanhuizui, the former imperial post.
The majestic flood control levee winds through the southeast end of the East China Sea, which is also the end of the world in Shanghai. Standing in Nanhui mouth, overlooking the connection of harbor and bridge, the magnificent spectacle; looking at the seagulls flying, fishing sails, looking back at the brand-new city, thriving. Walk along the seawall, watch the rising sun in the morning, and watch the starry sky at night. With the sea breeze, people feel relaxed and happy, daydream endless, so skillfully borrow sea embankment project, build sea park. On the one hand, it records the history of Hong Kong City's entrepreneurship to pass on to future generations; on the other hand, it is a pleasure for people to watch and visit.
Historical records
According to historical records, more than 2000 years ago, when the Yangtze river went out to sea, it was supported by the tide and turned to the south, where it joined with the Qiantang River to form a land, so it was called Nanhui mouth. The geographical location of "Nanhui mouth" is constantly extending to the southeast. In 1386, the Ming government built a city here to prevent Japanese invaders, which is Huinan town today; today's "Nanhuizui" is built on the beach of sand blowing and reclamation, which was still on the sea a few years ago.
Because most of Nanhui new town is formed by reclaiming land from the sea, the relief wall in Nanhuizui Sea View Park specially leaves this "memory": the dark mud blowing pipe, rough reclamation stone, and the seabed sediment collected in the glass pyramid truly record the hardships of the project; the data and photos of reclaiming land from the sea printed on stainless steel plate and the lifelike work of the builders The scene sculpture shows the soul stirring construction at that time.
Park composition
The landmark sculpture of the whole park is a double-layer grid structure composed of stainless steel pipes, with a total steel consumption of about 120 tons of "Sinan". As the earliest compass in the world, "Sinan" here means discovery, communication and openness.
On the south side of the "Sinan" sculpture is the "world orientation longitude and latitude Memorial square", whose center is the "Nanhuizui coordinate point mark", which echoes with the main sculpture of Sinan; the square is surrounded by city coordinates, on which the orientation longitude and latitude of the world's top ten port cities are engraved. Connecting the memorial square is the landscape floor with the theme of "development", which is arranged as geometric plant floor, reflecting the spirit of order, rationality and science.
