Folk Art
Lianxiang
Langxia is the birthplace of dalianxiang in Jinshan, which has a history of more than 100 years. According to the records of Langxia annals, as early as the 24th year of the Republic of China (1935), Langxia Wanli Village (now group 6 of bravery Village) had established a Lianxiang team of more than 10 people organized by folk artist Wang Jinfa. In this period, Lianxiang was a kind of folk sacrificial dance, which was performed by one, two or four people. The content of the dance was exorcising evil spirits, expelling ghosts, offering sacrifices to gods, praying for grain harvest, peace and so on. It had a certain mysterious color, and was usually performed at temple fairs
.
At the beginning of the liberation, through the improvement of the PLA literature and art forces and the local people, a more formal and systematic Lianxiang dance was formed, with richer movements and more beautiful posture. The folk literature and art team of fighting Lianxiang also developed greatly.
In 1989, Langxia primary school incorporated dalianxiang as a characteristic activity into the school's interest group. After decades of inheritance, Lianxiang has become a characteristic course of the school. Lianxiang course has been set up in the school, which is popular to every student. All the students who graduated from langxiao primary school will play Lianxiang. Langxia middle school used the radio exercise time to organize the whole school students to play Lianxiang.
In 2006, Langxia Lianxiang was listed as the intangible cultural heritage of Jinshan District and became the "one town, one product" of Langxia town.
