The origin of the name

The title of white horse originated from the myth and legend of moling captain Jiang Ziwen in the late Eastern Han Dynasty. According to Soushenji, Jiang Ziwen, a native of Guangling (now Yangzhou) and a moling captain in the late Han Dynasty, chased robbers to the foot of Zhongshan Mountain and died. As like as two peas in the early years of the eastern Wu Dynasty, officials saw Jiang Ziwen riding on the main road with white horse, hand holding fan and servant attendants. The emperor then set up a temple for Jiang Ziwen and renamed Zijin Mountain. The relics of Baima village and JiangWang temple have been preserved since then.
