Yinpenling Bridge
synonym
The second Xiangjiang River Bridge generally refers to yinpenling bridge
Yinpenling bridge, formerly known as "Xiangjiang second bridge", "North Bridge". Completed and opened to traffic on January 30, 1991, it is the second large-scale bridge connecting the two sides of Xiangjiang River in Changsha, about 3.5km away from the first Xiangjiang River Bridge. The main bridge is a cable-stayed bridge with double pylons and single cable plane, with a total length of 3616m and a deck width of 25m, including 15m for motorway, 3.5m for non motorway on both sides and 1.5m for sidewalk.
Yinpenling bridge - general situation
Yinpenling bridge is about 3.5km away from Juzizhou bridge, the first Xiangjiang River Bridge. It is a "double tower single cable plane prestressed concrete cable-stayed bridge". It is located in the north of Changsha City, from wujialing in the east to yinpenling in the West. The total length of the main bridge is 1025m, the total length of the bridge is 3616m, with two-way four lanes, 159 piers and 15 pairs of stay cables, with a total investment of 145 million yuan. The north bridge was built in 1987 and completed in December 1990. It is an important hub bridge on national highway 319. It is reported that at the beginning of its construction, the bridge was the largest span cable-stayed bridge with double towers and single cable plane in China.
The main bridge of yinpenling bridge is 25m wide, with four 3.75m motorways, two 3.5m non motorways and 1.5m sidewalks on both sides. The main girder of the cable-stayed bridge is a three compartment closed box girder, with a height of 3.4m and a bottom width of 15m. The upper edge of the girder is lifted out with a cantilever of 4.9M in length, with a total width of 30.1m. The whole section is constructed by one-time overall cantilever casting. The pylon is 53.72 meters high and adopts inverted Y-shaped (along bridge direction) single column structure. The upper anchorage section of the pylon is H-shaped section, 31.3 meters high. The lower pylon leg is rectangular section, 22.42 meters high. The section size is 2.6 meters (along bridge direction) by 3.5 meters (across bridge direction). The two legs are rigidly connected with the double wall pylon pier through the cross beam. The foundation of the tower pier is constructed with 14 bored piles with a diameter of 2M and double wall steel cofferdams.
Overhaul in 2006
Due to the long service time of the bridge, the expansion joints and the pavement are worn to varying degrees. This construction is carried out simultaneously with the inspection and maintenance, mainly including the stress detection of 120 stay cables at high temperature, the replacement of the bridge deck expansion joints and the renovation of the damaged pavement.
Replacement of expansion joint to treat "arthritis"
The reporter saw at the scene that the construction personnel were dismantling an expansion joint. According to the introduction, the plane size of the bridge is very long. Due to thermal expansion and cold contraction, it may cause excessive temperature stress in the structure and cause the bridge fracture. Therefore, it is necessary to set expansion joints in a certain length of the bridge structure to divide the building into several parts and play a "joint" role, so that the bridge can maintain normal function in the high heat and cold environment without fracture.
It has been 16 years since the bridge was put into use in 1990. The expansion joint will inevitably be worn in the long-term effect of thermal expansion and cold contraction. "It's like a person suffering from arthritis, a big temperature difference will hurt." Construction technicians said that the wear of the expansion joint makes the expansion space smaller and affects its function. Replacing the expansion joint can restore the overall toughness of the bridge. The wear of the expansion joint is caused by normal wear, so it belongs to routine maintenance.
