Yanziji is one of the three famous Ji of the Yangtze River, known as the first Ji of the Yangtze River. The so-called "Ji" is a huge rock at the mouth of the Yangtze River. Jixia is the best place to enjoy the river scenery. At night, the water and moon are bright and white, and the Chengjiang river is like training, which is one of the "48 scenes of Jinling". Standing upright on the river, the mountains and rocks face the air on three sides. It looks like a swallow spreading its wings to fly, so it is called Yanziji. In the early Qing Dynasty, when Emperor Kangxi and Emperor Qianlong went to Jiangnan, they all moored boats here. Yanziji park is located in the northeast corner of Mufu mountain, Qixia District, Nanjing City, adjacent to the Yangtze River in the north. During the Opium War, the British army landed from Yanziji and went straight to Nanjing. Nanjing Yanziji stands on the South Bank of the Yangtze River. From a distance, it looks like a flying swallow on the water. On the way, Mr. Tao said to the coachman with concern, "take your time. Don't worry. It's very tiring after a hard day."

The coachman said as if he had something on his mind: "I'm not tired, but I've come across a strange thing." When Mr. Tao asked about something strange, the coachman said it——

It turned out that this morning, a girl student got into his car on Zhongzheng street. She said she was going to Yanziji. After arriving at the destination, the girl student paid one yuan and gave the rest of her money to the driver for tea. The coachman felt a little strange, looked at the back of the girl student and said, "I'll wait for you here!" Just park in front of a teahouse in Yanziji. But when the sun was about to set, the girl student didn't come back. He couldn't find it on Yanziji, so he had to pull the empty car back to the city.

After hearing this, Mr. Tao didn't speak. He couldn't help worrying about the fate of the girl student.

The next night, the normal student who came back from the internship of Yanziji primary school reported to principal Tao that a female corpse was found by the Yanziji river. It looked like a middle school student. Her parents were wailing. It turned out that because of her marriage problems, she threw herself into the river. A normal student named Yu Zhen said sadly that yesterday she saw a young woman in white sitting at the head of Yanziji, thinking and crying. At the beginning, she didn't care. After a long time, she saw that the woman was still sitting there, motionless, like a statue. She couldn't help but wonder. She was worried about what would happen, so she quickly climbed to Jitou. In the middle of the climb, the woman stood up and turned around to have a look. Before Yuzhen could shout out, the woman jumped up and disappeared. Waiting for Yuzhen to climb to Jitou, but see the turbid waves rolling, mercilessly devour the poor young woman.

Mr. Tao didn't make a sound. He felt sad and regretful, and said to himself, "a young man, why can't you go another way? Why don't you think about doing more while you're alive? Let those who commit suicide think more about it. They can't die! "

Mr. Tao came to the carpentry to ask for two pieces of wood. He wrote two paragraphs and asked the students to send them to yanzijitou.

Another wooden card was inserted in the dangerous place of Yanziji, and it also wrote three big characters: "death is not allowed". Instead of throwing yourself into the river to die for personal affairs, why not engage in rural education and work hard to die for China's 340000 farmers?"

These two wooden cards attract people's attention. When people see them, they are all lost in thought. For those who want to commit suicide, they are even more enlightening. At that time, the students of Nanjing Youth Association middle school were particularly expensive. For a moment, they went to Yanziji town and drank a lot of wine. They wanted to go to Jitou and commit suicide by jumping into the river. But when he saw the sign written by Mr. Tao, he woke up half drunk and thought that he was only 18 years old and young. He should be determined to serve his country and should not seek short-sighted ideas. So he cried and gave up the idea of suicide and went home.

When Chen Zizhan, a former professor of Fudan University, was studying in Nanjing at that time, he couldn't bear to suffer from stomach disease and climbed to Yanziji to die. The words on the two big wooden cards are like the mother's loving call and the teacher's affectionate instruction, which make him finally come down from Yanziji and bravely go on his way of life. "Think about it" and "die not" are warning people of suicide: we should cherish youth, let precious life shine for the cause of justice!
