The main building of Shanghai Exhibition Center was built in March 1955, which is the earliest exhibition site in Shanghai after the founding of new China. Shanghai Exhibition Center has been rated as a civilized unit of Shanghai for six consecutive times. Shanghai Exhibition Center covers an area of 93000 square meters, with a construction area of 80000 square meters. It is located between the bustling Nanjing West Road and the main traffic road Yan'an Middle Road, and has very superior geographical conditions. After many times of expansion and reconstruction, in 2001, it carried out comprehensive reinforcement and overhaul to maintain the original architectural style and improve the function, creating a new pattern of "South exhibition and North meeting". The existing exhibition area is 22000 square meters, and there are more than 40 multi-functional conference rooms and conference halls that can accommodate tens to thousands of people respectively. The exhibition area is composed of preface hall, central hall, East Hall, West Hall and West Hall in the south, and the conference area is composed of friendship hall and East Hall in the north. Shanghai Exhibition Center

Shanghai Exhibition Center, also known as Shanghai Exhibition Center, is located at No.1000 Yan'an Middle Road, Jing'an District, central Shanghai. It is adjacent to Nanjing West Road in the north, Yan'an Road Viaduct in the south, Weihai Road Lin village in the East and Tongren Road in the West. It covers a total area of 93000 square meters, of which the building area is 80000 square meters.

Shanghai Exhibition Center

Built in 1955, formerly known as "Sino Soviet friendship building", it is one of the representative buildings in Shanghai. It is also the first large-scale building built in Shanghai in the 1950s. Like Beijing exhibition hall, it belongs to Russian classical architectural style.

Shanghai Exhibition Center was originally located in Aili garden, a private garden of British Jewish Hutong, commonly known as Hutong garden. After the death of Hutong and his wife Luo Jialing, the Pacific War broke out and was occupied by the Japanese army who entered the public concession. After several wars, the Hutong garden was gradually abandoned.

The outdoor space is naturally divided into six squares by buildings. In addition to providing sufficient parking lots and containers for large-scale conferences and exhibitions, these squares can also build a temporary exhibition hall of about 10000 square meters, making the total area of the exhibition hall more than 30000 square meters, which can meet the needs of large-scale exhibitions.

After liberation, the Sino Soviet friendship building was built. Designed by former Soviet architectural artist Andreyev, the building covers an area of 80000 square meters on 90000 square meters of land, which is in the style of ancient Russia. Building block north south, due south for the stadium, there are building music fountain. The main building stands in the middle, with a gold-plated steel tower on it. It is complementary to the main tower, and the golden light is brilliant. The exhibition hall and ancillary buildings of the building extend from floor to floor. Over the past 30 years, we have held various exhibitions and export fairs here. As a contemporary building with the nature of exhibition hall, it has complete facilities and more than 100 office and conference rooms, so it is also a place for many heads of state to visit. The rear of the building is a theater with nearly 1000 seats. The elegant banquet hall, which can accommodate 500 people, should be a representative hall in the building. There are "Friendship Restaurant", "seafood restaurant" and "friendship industry company", "friendship mall", "friendship dance hall" and "nightclub" on the inner wall of the building.
