Walking in Shangqing ancient town of Longhu Mountain
Without Shangqing town and the Taoist culture nurtured by Shangqing, it would be impossible for Longhu Mountain to become the first mountain and birthplace of Taoism in China.
The first thing that makes Shangqing ancient town strange is the road surface of the ancient street. Almost all the roads are paved with cobblestones from the Luxi river. They are smooth and round in shape, flat and different in length. They are densely arranged in order, full of light, natural and harmonious. Some of them are arranged in the shape of Tai Chi or eight trigrams. After thousands of years of washing and impact by the Luxi River, the edges and corners of these small stones have been completely damaged. In addition, the soles of passers-by's feet have been polished for nearly a thousand years. It's already bright and can be seen that an extremely comfortable feeling seeps from the soles of their feet to the roots of their hair. An ancient foot sound from far to near seems to touch the history of the ancient Chinese nation. According to experts' research, the town was built in the northern and Southern Dynasties in the Qing Dynasty, and the roads in the town experienced many vicissitudes.
Ancient Taoist buildings can be seen everywhere in the ancient town, and the stilted buildings near the river are even more charming. In this 1.5-kilometer-long Millennium street, there are hundreds of national and provincial protected buildings, such as liuhou temple, Tianshi mansion, tianyuande drugstore, and ancient Diaojiaolou. The typical Taoist architectural styles, such as double eaves, Danying, Tongbi and Zhuye, make this street distinctive. Entering the Millennium ancient town is like coming to the Taoist Museum.
On this street, it is worth mentioning that Tianshi mansion, known as the ancestral court of Taoism, was built in 1105, the fourth year of Chongning in the Northern Song Dynasty. Although it has experienced war, it still retains its historical style. Tianshi mansion is the place where Zhang Tianshi lived in the past dynasties. The whole building is designed according to the shape of the eight trigrams. It is divided into the head gate, the instrument gate, the private house and the backyard. In history, it has the reputation of "unparalleled place in the South and the first house in Xijiang". The location of Tianshi mansion has a unique style. It is said that Tianshi Zhang took a lot of trouble to select the site. Its gate is near the Luxi River, its back is close to Xihua mountain, and it is surrounded by green mountains on the left and right. It is the treasure land in ancient China where there are "photos in front, backs, green dragons and white tigers on both sides". The forest of camphor in Henan Province, with towering ancient trees, ethereal fairy music, green trees and red walls, is the place of Taoist Qingxiu.
Although this ancient street has not been designed by experts, everything is natural and there is a kind of natural beauty. However, it is in this nature that the whole street breeds unique local folk customs. Up the street against the Luxi River, the houses on the left side of the street are all in the shape of stairs. Each house is about 1 meter higher than the previous one. It is said that this is a symbol of prosperity for local people. The stilted building on the right is empty and several wooden pillars stand in the water. Walking in this block, you don't have to dodge the car's rampage, you can watch the local customs leisurely. Fishermen weave nets and children play with them. No matter which line you are looking for, you can turn a corner or wipe a corner. Hairdressers, locksmiths and umbrellas are among them. The snacks on the street are famous for their good taste. There are white Shangqing rice noodles, tender Shangqing tofu, vermilion and vermilion Castanea mollissima, etc To make a table full of Taoist culture.
Nowadays, thousands of tourists come to Shangqing ancient town every day. The unfamiliar and familiar are willing to walk on the street to experience the simple folk customs.
