Xiaoping trail

Xiaoping trail, located in Wangchenggang, Xinjian County, Jiangxi Province, is a memorial park integrating education and leisure. Xiaoping trail was originally a 1.5km long field trail connecting Xinjian tractor parts factory and Nanchang Infantry School. During the period from October 1969 to February 1973, Deng Xiaoping often took a walk on this 1.5km long path during the cultural revolution. Later, people called this path "Xiaoping path". Some people think that the area around the trail is the germinating place of Deng Xiaoping's important thought of designing China's reform, opening up and modernization.

At the end of the 20th century, the local government began to carry out protective development around the trail and tractor parts repair factory. By 2008, the whole area covers an area of 187.9 mu, and many buildings have been built, such as the memorial area of Xiaoping trail, the browsing area of revolutionary historical sites, the workshop of Xiaoping, the venue of Xiaoping, and the leisure square.

In 2000, it was designated as a provincial cultural relic protection unit. In March 2002, it was designated as a base for patriotism, revolutionary tradition, reform and opening up, and Deng Xiaoping theory education.

In December 2016, Xiaoping trail exhibition hall was selected into the list of national red tourist attractions.

Historical evolution

From October 1969 to February 1973, Comrade Deng Xiaoping was assigned to work in the suburbs of Nanchang, Jiangxi Province.

In 2000, the people's Government of Jiangxi Province designated the workshop where Deng Xiaoping worked as a provincial cultural relics protection unit.

In February 2002, Xinjian County carried out the first preliminary restoration of Xiaoping trail. According to the principle of "repairing the old as before", it invested 1.2 million yuan to carry out partial restoration.

In March 2002, it was designated as a base for patriotism, revolutionary tradition, reform and opening up and Deng Xiaoping theory education.

On May 1, 2002, Nanchang City opened the "Xiaoping trail" to the outside world, with Xiaoping venue, workshops where Xiaoping worked, benchwork platforms used by Xiaoping, and tractors on which Xiaoping got sick.

On July 1, 2002, Deng Xiaoping's eldest daughter, Ms. Deng Lin, visited Xiaoping trail in person and donated more than 100 photographic works, which greatly enriched the content of Xiaoping trail.

On August 10, 2002, it became the "patriotic education base of Xiaoping trail".

In July 2003, Deng Xiaoping's daughter, Deng Lin, presented 114 precious photos of her father to the memorial hall and held the "father in the daughter's heart - Deng Lin Photography Exhibition".

In July 2004, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Deng Xiaoping's birth, Xinjian County carried out comprehensive restoration of "Xiaoping trail" and its surrounding environment.

In 2008, in order to meet the 30th anniversary of reform and opening up, Xinjian County invested 18 million yuan again to build a 2100 square meter "Xiaoping trail exhibition hall" and restore the original appearance of the workshop, carefully preserving the workshop that Deng Xiaoping worked in that year and the bench and tools he used.

Xiaopinglou is originally a gray two-story brick and wood structure building, built in the 1950s, with a construction area of 440 square meters. There are more than one person tall Holly around the building, a bamboo fence on the inside, pine, peach, laurel, gardenia, plum, camellia, grape and so on in the yard, and a small firewood house behind the building.

The planned area of "Xiaoping trail" is 187.9 mu, ranging from national highway 320 in the south to the wall of Nanchang Army College in the north, the road from Shengzhuang to Wanli in the East, and the wall of Nanchang Army College in the West.

In October 2000, a visit road was built beside the "Deng Xiaoping trail". Along the way, there are pavilions, chairs, benches and signboards, on which the stories related to the trail are recorded.

For the part outside the memorial area, we should adhere to the principle of more greening and less construction, and keep trees and water in view of trees, so that the scenic area has a beautiful environment and complete facilities, including shady square, shady path, flower garden, fitness and leisure square, patriotic revolutionary tradition and Reform and opening education venues.

The design idea of "Xiaoping trail" memorial hall has changed the traditional method in the past. Each exhibition hall adopts different layout, tone and light, and uses representative works as the dark background to create a specific historical atmosphere. Combined with the combination of cultural relics, pictures, photos, sculptures, landscape restoration, as well as the introduction of video, audio-visual, multimedia and other advanced scientific and technological means, the whole exhibition is integrated.

The new museum cites high technology. In order to prevent too strong and bright lights from radiating to human body, all the lights in the memorial hall are anti ultraviolet electric lights. In addition, the entire display cabinet and exhibition hall are equipped with battery lighting facilities.

In addition, during the exhibition, Xinjian County reappeared the panoramic view of Xiaoping trail, using advanced technology to show the overall scene of Xinjian tractor parts factory and Xiaoping trail in Jiangxi, as well as Comrade Deng Xiaoping's walking and Thinking on the trail in those years.

Basic Display

Xiaoping trail scenic area is equipped with tourist center, tourist lounge, film and television broadcast point, etc. The tourist center is located in the east of the entrance of the scenic spot.

The new building area of "Xiaoping trail" exhibition hall is 2134.5 square meters, and the exhibition area is 1720 square meters. The reception room and projection hall are added. The new museum is divided into six parts: the early stage of the cultural revolution, the evacuation to Jiangxi, factory labor, the Xiaoping trail, the new love, and the eternal memory.

There are several exhibition halls: the first exhibition hall, which is set up according to the scene of Deng Xiaoping's labor in those years, displays the workbench, labor tools, machine tools and equipment he used. The second and third exhibition halls are respectively located in two workshops next to the Xiaoping workshop, with one displaying "three major items", namely "fengshou-27" tractor, Shangrao bus and Jiefang Truck. On the other hand, all the written and pictorial materials of Deng Xiaoping in Jiangxi Province are displayed, and Deng Xiaoping's style is reproduced by means of sound, light and electricity.

The documents on display in the second and fourth parts of the exhibition hall are not declassified files provided by the central archives, but also related to the process of Deng Xiaoping's evacuation to Jiangxi and his comeback.

Collection

The bronze statue Xiao Ping is with the workers. It is 5.8 meters long, 1.98 meters wide and 3 meters high.

People's Daily published an article "days in Jiangxi" by Mao Mao, Deng Xiaoping's daughter.

The new museum also includes the tofu ticket given to him by the factory, all the photos of Xiao ping's family living in Jiangxi, the gift porcelain given to Deng Xiaoping by the factory workers, the three auspicious days and the peach blossom in Shuidian. In addition, Deng Xiaoping's reading wall is also worth watching. There are some works of Chairman Mao Zedong and Marxism Leninism that Deng Xiaoping read during his stay in Xinjian County.

Bronze statue of Xiaoping

The height of the bronze statue is 4.2 meters, the height of the base is 2.55 meters, and the overall height is 6.75 meters. This bronze statue stands in the highest position of Xiaoping trail.
