Wenhu Park

Wenhu Park, located in Shashi District, Jingzhou City, Hubei Province, is inlaid in the half mouth shaped area formed by Jiangjin Road, Baiyun road and Beijing West Road, covering an area of 13.07 hectares, including 3.8 hectares of water area.

Built in 1985, the park is divided into elderly activity area, children's recreation area, walking area, water activity area and 27 garden buildings. The children's playground is mainly composed of interesting sculptures, including "12 zodiac animals", "Fox family", "Mr. Dongguo and Wolf", "Mr. Nanguo", and more than 20 groups of amusement facilities. Wenhu lake, Minghu lake and Jinghu Lake are connected with each other; Lianxin bridge, Zhenhu bridge and Huizu bridge are of different shapes; Songshan, Meishan and Zhushan are located in the lake, forming a beautiful contrast. The park is dominated by plant landscape, with reasonable allocation of arbor, shrub, flower and grass. The green space rate has reached more than 90%. There are Jinhuang villa, meixinchi Hotel and other entertainment and leisure places.

The park was initially completed and opened on October 1, 1987. It is the first comprehensive park newly built after the liberation of Jingzhou City. The original site is the junction of Shashi City and suburb. At the beginning of preparation, it was swampy and barren. After digging lakes and piling mountains, it formed "three lakes" (Wenhu, Minghu and Jinghu) and "Six Mountains" (Meihua Mountain, Xuesong mountain, Yinghua mountain, heisong mountain, Guihua mountain and Nanzhu mountain according to different plant configuration). The construction of the garden is mainly plant landscape, with trees, shrubs, flowers and grass matching each other, and the green space rate has reached more than 90%.

At the end of 1990s, Wenhu Park was gradually transformed into a non business park, and nearby residents were free to go in and out for exercise and play. There are several private hotels in the park, built close to pavilions and pavilions, forming a waterside pavilion. Although the park area is not large, it has dense forests, deep twists and turns, and unique caves. It is a place of its own. At dawn and dusk, after rain and snow, it is quite a realm. It is an ideal place for the elderly to cultivate their nature and the students to roam.

In 2011, due to the municipal planning, the government carried out a large-scale reconstruction of Wenhu Park, removing the trees and wall houses around the park, in order to enable pedestrians outside the park to have a direct view of the lake in the park. After the reconstruction, Wenhu park has changed from a classical garden like a paradise to an open urban garden green space, and the "little Jasper" has become a "chaonv"; the plants and trees are well pruned, and the residents can see them at a glance, which not only brings excitement, but also makes the quiet garden isolated from the outside world a permanent memory in the hearts of the residents nearby.

Features of scenic spots

The water surface of Wenhu Park accounts for one fourth of the total area of the park, which is divided into "Wenhu", "Minghu" and "Jinghu" from south to north. The "three lakes" can be connected as a whole or as an independent domain. The "Zhenhu bridge" and the "Lianxin bridge" span the middle and northwest of the lake respectively, forming the boundary of the "three lakes" and connecting the hills on both sides of the lake. Standing on the top of the cherry blossom mountain, looking around, the park is full of trees, pines and bamboos, and willows; the hills are undulating, and the mountains are different; the curved bridge corridor, pavilions and pavilions, and the water color of the lake; the lake is wide and stretching, and the water is as bright as a mirror, and the scenery is interesting; the fish are jumping, the waves are splashing, the boats are long, and the oars are playing in the water, and the joy is melting; the winding paths along the lake bank are quiet and long, walking along the path, Relaxed and happy, people have a sense of infatuation.
