Qinglin Village

Qinglinzhai, located in Tieping village, 15 kilometers northwest of Mahe Town, Dongbao District, Jingmen City, covers an area of more than 8000 mu. According to experts' research, Qinglin village can't be compared with other similar villages in China in terms of area, number of stone houses and preservation integrity. It can really be called "the first village in China".

Qinglin village is composed of Guangong village, Shenwu village, Yanwu village and Huwei Village (Huwei village was demolished by local villagers when they built the reservoir in the 1970s). Among them, Guangong village, Shenwu village and Yanwu village occupy three peaks with the highest terrain, which stand against each other and attack and defend each other; the wall, gate and nearly 300 ancient barracks in the village are well preserved. All the buildings in the original village are made of stone without mud.

Scenery

There is a Huashi cave in Qinglin village. Qinglinzhai scenic area also has the largest red leaf spectacle in Central China, stretching for thousands of mu. Every autumn, you can stay in it and forget to return.

history

Why was such a huge mountain stronghold built, who built it, and what role did it play after its completion? There are three folk sayings here. First, during the Three Kingdoms period, general Guan Yu of Shu controlled the Jingxiang ancient road in the South and the garrison camp built when he rejected Cao Cao in the north. Later, through the continuous repair and construction by the residents of the dynasty, it formed such a huge scale today. This view is consistent with the legend of Xianrenyan and zheqishan in Lixi Town, Jingmen City. Second, after the failure of Li Zicheng's uprising in the late Ming Dynasty, the defensive fortifications were built when he withdrew to the south. Third, the construction of the white lotus uprising army. From the first year to the ninth year of Jiaqing (1796-1804), the bailianjiao uprising in Hubei, Henan, Sichuan, Shaanxi and Gansu provinces built Shanzhai as a military base for the uprising.
