Hejiang Pavilion is located at the intersection of Fuhe River and Nanhe River in Chengdu. Built 1200 years ago, Wanli Zhengfan sailed to Dongwu from here. The base is several feet high, and 10 Pavilion columns support the conjoined double Pavilion. The design is ingenious and meaningful. You can see the scenery of the two rivers. According to historical records, Hejiang pavilion was built by Wei Gao, the governor of Western Sichuan Province, in the period of Zhengyuan in Tang Dynasty, and rebuilt in Northern Song Dynasty. It reached its peak and became a lively place for officials and people to have banquets and play in the market. Hejiang bridge was also the main port for people to go out of Sichuan. There was a Jinguan post in Ming Dynasty and a new ship tax office in Qing Dynasty.
