Yuefei Memorial Hall
Yuefei memorial hall, located on the Bank of the beautiful Xizi Lake in the northwest of Hangzhou City, is the place where Yue Fei, a famous anti Jin general and national hero of the Southern Song Dynasty, sleeps. It is also a memorial place for people of all dynasties to pay attention to and look forward to Yue Fei.
Introduction to the library
Yue Fei (1103-1142), whose name is Peng Ju, was born in an ordinary peasant family in Tangyin, Henan Province. He was ambitious and diligent since childhood. When the Jin army launched a war of national aggression against the Song Dynasty, Yue Fei joined the army against the Jin Dynasty with the enthusiasm of "serving the country faithfully". He was brave and good at fighting. He fought in the north and south of the country. He made four northern expeditions and made brilliant achievements. He grew from an ordinary soldier to a military commander in Weizhen. In 1142, Yue Fei, 39 years old, was defeated by Zhao Gaozong, the supreme ruling group of the Southern Song Dynasty
The Suhe surrender faction headed by Qin Hui was killed in Dali Temple Prison of Lin'an (the capital of Southern Song Dynasty, now Hangzhou) on the charge of "no need".
In 1162, Emperor Xiaozong of the Song Dynasty succeeded to the throne and issued an imperial edict to rehabilitate Yue Fei. He buried Yue Fei's remains at the present site at the south foot of Qixia mountain. In 1221, the Southern Song Dynasty granted Zhiguo temple, which is close to Yuefei's tomb, as Yuefei's Gongde temple and "Baozhong Yanfu Temple". This is the origin of today's Yuefei tomb and temple in Hangzhou. Since then, after yuan, Ming, Qing and Republic of China, Yuefei's tomb and temple have been abandoned and prospered for a long time, which fully reflects the people's respect and love for Yuefei.
The general layout of Yuefei tomb temple can be divided into three parts: Zhonglie temple area, Tomb Park area and Qizhong temple area. Zhonglie temple area is composed of Zhonglie temple, front courtyard and gate tower of Yuewang temple. The cemetery area is located in the southwest of the whole group of buildings, symmetrically arranged along the east-west axis. The east end of the cemetery is the "loyal to serve the country" screen wall, and the South and north sides have a row of stele corridors, which is a precious historical material library. Yuefei's tomb faces the West and the East, with the "Tomb of King yue'e of Song Dynasty" stele in front of the tomb, and the tomb of yueyun, the eldest son of Yuefei, is attached to the front left side The iron statues of Hui, Wang, Zhang Jun and other four traitors. The north of Yuefei cemetery and the west of Zhonglie temple are Qizhong temple area. It is composed of one main and two verandas of Qizhong temple and Jingzhong garden. It is a group of garden style courtyard buildings with green trees and stones, flowers and trees. Qizhong temple was originally a place for worshiping Yue Fei's parents. Now it has been set up as Yuefei Memorial Hall. It is divided into three exhibition rooms and six parts by using various display forms, such as objects, photos and charts, to show the glorious and bumpy life of the national hero Yue Fei.
In 1961, it was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council of the people's Republic of China.
Inside the hall, there is a colorful sitting statue of Yue Fei, 4.5 meters high. The plaque of "return to our country" is hung in the hall, which is written by Yue Fei. On both sides, there are plaques of "devotion to our country" written by people of Ming Dynasty, "blue blood and red heart" written by Zhao Puchu, President of China Buddhist Association, and "eternal glory" written by Changsha Menghai, Xiling Seal society. Yuewang temple was built in 1221, the 14th year of Jiading in the Southern Song Dynasty. The wisdom fruit Guanyin Temple in Beishan of Xihu was changed into "Baozhong Yanfu Temple" to honor Yuefei's achievements.
During the reign of emperor Yingzong of the Ming Dynasty (1457-1464), he changed "Baozhong Yanfu Temple" to Yuewang temple and granted "Zhonglie". The building was rebuilt in 1715, overhauled in 1918 and renovated in 1979. Entering the hall, the road is 23 meters long, and the main hall is at the end.
The double eaves of the main hall rest on the top of the mountain, and a plaque "heart reveals the sun" is hung between the eaves, which is written by Ye Jianying. In front of the hall, there is a veranda on both sides. It was originally used to sacrifice the generals Niu Gao and Zhang Xian of Yue Fei. There are statues of two generals. Qizhong temple is located in the west of Zhonglie temple. In the main hall, there are statues of Yue Fei's parents. In the East, there are statues of Yue Fei's five sons: Yun, Lei, Lin, Zhen and ting. In the west, there are statues of his five daughters in law and daughter in silver vase. Yuefei tomb is also called Yuefen. Located on the right side of the main hall of Yuefei temple. After Yue Fei was killed, gaoshun, the jailer, escaped from Lin'an City with his body on his back, went to jiuqucong temple and was buried in Beishan. Xiaozong ascended the throne in the 32nd year of Shaoxing (1162) and buried Yue Fei's body at the south foot of qixialing mountain. After that, the tomb of Yue Fei was rebuilt in all dynasties. The tomb of Yue Fei was rebuilt in 1979. The tomb faces east in the West and is surrounded by stones. There is a gate in front of the tomb and a screen wall in front of it. On it is embedded the four words of "serve the country faithfully" written by Hong Zhu of the Ming Dynasty. There is a corridor through the tomb gate to the front of the tomb. There are stone men and Stone Beasts beside the corridor. Yuefei's tomb is in the middle of the tomb. The tomb is round, and the tombstone is engraved with "the tomb of King yue'e of Song Dynasty".
On the left side of Yuefei's tomb is yueyun's tomb, on which is written "the tomb of Marquis yueyun of song Jizhong". There is a courtyard outside the cemetery, and inside there is Jingzhong cypress Pavilion, where the withered cypresses are placed. By modern scientific and technological means, these cypresses are silicified wood, which has a history of more than 120 million years. There are stele corridors in the park, displaying Yue Fei's handwriting and works of celebrities of all generations. There is a Yuefei Memorial Hall in Yuemiao, which displays Yuefei's deeds and some literature and history materials.
