Jiguandong scenic spot is located in xiaoshuangtang gully, 3km west of Luanchuan County, Luoyang City, Henan Province. It belongs to Funiu Mountain system, with an altitude of 1021m. It was formed in the early and Middle Pleistocene about 600 million years ago. It was discovered in the Zhenguan period of Tang Dynasty. It has green mountains, beautiful waters, strange rocks, and secluded caves. Development history

The foundation was laid on September 28, 1992 and officially opened to tourists on April 10, 1993.

In April 1993, Mu Qing, former president of Xinhua news agency, gladly named Jiguan cave "the first cave in northern China"; in July 1993, Professor Zhu Xuewen, President of Cave Research Association of China Geological Society, made an authoritative comment for Jiguan cave that "the landscape is magnificent and can be called the first cave in northern China; the cause of formation is unique, which is the first Dragon Palace in China".

In the past ten years, jiguandong scenic spot has won more than 30 provincial and municipal honorary titles, such as "provincial scenic spot", "top ten tourist attractions in Henan Province". In August 2002, jiguandong scenic spot passed the acceptance of the National Tourism Administration, and was rated as "national AAAA scenic spot". On December 29, 2011, the National Tourism Administration awarded "national AAAA scenic spot"; in 2013, Luoyang Municipal People's Government awarded "Mayor Quality Award".

After 24 years of continuous development, jiguandong scenic spot has become a functional scenic spot providing tourists with integrated services of food, accommodation and transportation. It has service facilities such as guest house, travel agency, tourism environmental protection team, tramcar, etc.

In November 2005, with a total investment of 8.803 million yuan, jiguandong Alpine Peony Garden covering an area of 101 Mu was completed in the scenic spot. A total of 46000 tree peonies of 180 varieties of 18 categories, such as Weizi, yaohuang, Erqiao and Luoyanghong, were planted in the garden. The flowering period of jiguandong Alpine peony garden is the golden week of May Day.

The "German slideway" construction project was introduced in November 2014 and started in February 2015. It is a new entertainment project integrating leisure, entertainment and transportation.

The first scenic spot

Jiguan cave is composed of Yuzhu lake, Yicai hall, diewei palace, dongtianhe, Juxian palace, yaochi palace, cangxiu Pavilion and Shilin square. Outside the cave, Jiguan mountain, scenic landmark stone, jade belt bridge and painted archway also form a beautiful landscape. At the entrance of the cave, you can enter Yuzhu lake, the first scenic spot, through a 30 meter long and 2.5-meter-high artificial tunnel. The top of the cave is 49 meters above the ground, which can accommodate more than 500 people at the same time. In the scenic area, there are many stalagmites and stone pillars in different thickness. It is the most concentrated area in the cave. Because there is a clear underground pool, the scenic area is named "Yuzhu Lake". There are several stalagmites in front of the pond. They are like a fairy waving with a smile. They are named "Zhongxian Yingke". Among them, the highest is 0.9 meters and the lowest is 0.6 meters. On the wall of the cave on the left side of the road 10 meters away from this, there is the first cave entrance with a diameter of 0.94 meters. Although it is very small, it is the only way for people to get in and out before. If you go ahead another 15 meters, you will see the most concentrated landscape of the first scenic spot. Here you can see the landscape "golden turtle crossing Fairy" on the right side of the sightseeing trail. The huge "golden turtle" is composed of three naturally accumulated rocks. A 1.1-meter-high stalagmite grows on the back of the "golden turtle", like an old white bearded fairy with high bun and slightly humped back. Just in front of this landscape, there is a stone niche on the cave wall 18 meters in front of it. There is a stalagmite with a diameter of 0.3 meters and a height of 0.8 meters in the stone niche, which is very similar to a fairy wearing a pointed cap. On the left side of the fairy, there is a stone shield with a diameter of 0.4 meters and a height of 0.94 meters. Its shield is folded and folded, like a short sleeve shirt floating in the wind. The landscape is collectively known as "fairy clothes". Located at the bottom right of "immortal clothes drying", there is the landscape "snow sheep struggling", which is a wall flow stone in the shape of goat jumping.

The second scenic spot

On the cave wall 22 meters directly in front of the "golden turtle crossing Fairy", there is a triangular stone with stalagmites ranging from 0.4 to 0.5 meters high arranged from the top down, which seems to be five Buddha statues sitting on the mountain, named "five Buddha painting mountain". There is a stalagmite 17 meters in front of the "golden turtle crossing Fairy", which looks like a wary wolf dog with upright ears. Just at the top of the cave on its left, there is a natural vent with a diameter of 0.8 meters, 38 meters up to the top of the cave, which looks like a bright moon hanging on the top of the cave. The landscape is collectively known as "heavenly dog guarding the moon". This is the only natural vent in the cave. The second scenic spot, Yicai hall, is the first cave to be found in the cave. It is about 600 million years ago. The terrain is open and looks like a canyon. There are stalactites hanging on the top of the cave, and the stalagmites on the ground are scattered all over the place. Standing in the center of the second scenic spot, overlooking the valley bottom of "Yicai hall", there is a stalagmite with a diameter of 0.45 meters and a height of 0.7 meters, which looks like a kind-hearted old longevity star. The rock on the left is like a 2.83-meter-long "crocodile" with its mouth open and tail tilted. It seems that it is listening to the earnest instruction of "longevity star" and has some understanding. This scene is named "crocodile birthday worship". On the hillside 5 meters to the left, there is a group of stalagmites, like a tiger, struggling to pull a mountain forward to add luster and treasure to the Yicai hall, named "white tiger Layu peak". There are two stalactites on the top right of "crocodile's birthday worship". One of them is like a fish's tail stuck in the cave entrance, which is called "carp leaping over the dragon's gate". The other one is like a hippopotamus sticking out his head to enjoy the beauty of the world. His mouth is open and his eyes are wide. His expression is so rich that it makes people sigh and stop. It is called "hippopotamus peeping at the view". At the corner of the trail, a dolphin leaps out of the water on the left side of the road. The red ball on the top of the head shows the elegant demeanour of the guests. It's named "Dolphin playing pearl", which is lifelike. From the second scenic spot to the third scenic spot, the drop is nearly 30 meters, and you have to go through a 75 meter long step road. Down the road, you can see two stalagmites on the left side of the road. One of them is 1 meter in diameter and 2.73 meters in height. It is called "Long March 1 rocket" and is about to be ignited and lifted off. The other stalagmite, 0.88 meters in diameter and 2.1 meters in height, looks like an old man with a snow hat on his head, a cape and a heavy snow
