Located on the west side of Zhiyuan Hotel, Qingnian Road, Xi'an City, the former villa of General Yang Hucheng, also known as Yang Hucheng mansion, is a building with carved hurdles and cornices hidden in the forest. In Zhiyuan, General Yang Hucheng discussed state affairs with Comrade Zhou Enlai to study and solve the Xi'an Incident. This villa has been built as a memorial hall of General Yang Hucheng and a part of the memorial hall of Xi'an Incident. It contains the remains of General Yang Hucheng and some documents of Xi'an Incident.

General Yang Hucheng Memorial Hall (3a), located at No. 29 Huaiyuan Road, Pucheng County, Shaanxi Province, is built on the basis of General Yang Hucheng's former residence. The former residence of General Yang Hucheng, also known as Yang mansion, was built in 1934, covering a total area of 1376 square meters. It has a history of more than 60 years, and the architectural form is the typical "four entering" architecture in Guanzhong. The architectural form of the memorial hall is a typical four-way building in Guanzhong. It covers a total area of 1376 square meters and is divided into East and West courtyards. The east courtyard is the main courtyard, the residence of General Yang Hucheng and his family. The main courtyard is composed of a hall, a women's hall and a back building. There are many outer rooms and inner rooms on both sides of the middle three courtyards. The total length of the main courtyard is 75 meters, the width is 10 meters, the area is 750 square meters, and the building area is 500 square meters. The West courtyard is the partial courtyard, where General Yang Hucheng's garden and study are located. The garden has a total length of 50 meters, a width of 10 meters, an area of 500 square meters and a building area of 258 square meters. On the east side of Yang's mother's bedroom, there was a granary covering an area of 126 square meters, which was later transformed into a cultural relics warehouse and a technical defense monitoring room. The layout of the whole building is simple and generous, reflecting the plain character of General Yang Hucheng.

Construction history

The former residence of General Yang, built in 1934, is a traditional "folk house". The whole building is antique. General Yang, his mother sun Yilian, his wife Xie Baozhen and Zhang Huilan have lived here. The former residence covers an area of 1250 square meters, facing south and North. It is divided into two courtyards. The main courtyard is a hall, a hall, a women's hall and a back building The courtyard is composed of General Yang's study and garden.
