Tianshui art museum is located in Tianshui City, Gansu Province. It is a professional art organization which collects, collects and studies the calligraphy and painting works and ink of modern and contemporary historical celebrities in Southeast Gansu Province, actively organizes various art exhibitions and exchange activities, and undertakes the exhibition, collection, exchange and research of Tianshui Art and calligraphy works.

Tianshui art museum was officially established in July 2003. Since its establishment, it has undertaken the collection, exhibition, education, research and exchange of fine arts and calligraphy works in Tianshui City, making positive contributions to the cultural construction of Tianshui city.

Basic information

Tianshui art museum is located in the "Longevity Palace" at No.80 Jianshe Road, Qinzhou District. It is an ancient architectural community of the Royal Garden left by Tianshui city since the early Qing Dynasty, covering an area of about 3600 square meters. The gallery, Meridian Gate, East and West Court rooms of the old buildings in the Longevity Palace are opened up as exhibition rooms. More than 20 exhibitions of various types are held every year and are open to the public free of charge. The annual number of visitors is about 200000.

There are four exhibition halls in Tianshui Art Museum. The exhibition line is about 1000 meters long. The usable area of indoor walls is about 3000 square meters. 200-300 works can be displayed at the same time. At the same time, there are conference hall, collection warehouse, inquiry reception room, etc. In 2010, the municipal finance allocated a special fund of 1 million yuan for the restoration and construction of the overall color painting of the ancient buildings of the Longevity Palace, the fine brick laying of the courtyard terrace, the glazed wall cap, the palace wall and the West vertical flower gate, so as to improve the facilities of the Tianshui Art Museum. At present, there are more than 200 outstanding paintings and calligraphy works of historical celebrities in Southeast Gansu and more than 1000 outstanding paintings and calligraphy works of contemporary artists. In addition to display and tour exhibitions, the collections are displayed every year in conjunction with some major festival activities in our city, and have received good results.

Business activities

The Museum of fine arts has purchased and collected outstanding calligraphy and painting works of historical celebrities, held various exhibitions and exchange activities of calligraphy and painting works from time to time, published Tianshui calligraphy and painting newspaper, and introduced the development trend, creative achievements and theoretical research of fine arts. There have been exhibitions for many years, and there are many fine arts, which have improved the people's understanding of the art collection, played a guiding and propaganda role, played a certain public education effect, and made due contributions to the construction of Tianshui into a characteristic cultural city.

The major events are:

l. In 2003, the exhibition of calligraphy and painting works of the 25 cities' horizontal joint conference of the National Committee of the Chinese people's Political Consultative Conference was held.

2. In 2004, he held a joint exhibition of calligraphy and painting works in 13 cities of Northwest China, a famous historical and cultural city in China, and held a roving exhibition and creation seminar of calligraphy and painting works in Chizhou, Anhui Province.

3. In 2005, he carried out the activity of "returning to the road of the long march" and was highly praised by Gansu Art Association. In July 2005, Mr. Liu mu, a famous painter of the National Academy of painting, was invited to Tianshui to hold the "Liu Mu painting exhibition"; in the same month, the "calligraphy exhibition of 50 award-winning authors of the National Book Exhibition" was held.

4. In 2006, "Du Fu Longyou poetry, calligraphy and painting works exhibition" was held, and "Du Fu Longyou poetry, calligraphy and painting works collection" was published; and "calligraphy and painting exhibition commemorating the 70th anniversary of the victory of the long march of the Red Army" was held.

5. In 2007, he organized the activity of painting Tianshui by Gansu painters.

6. In 2008, "the second invitation exhibition of Chinese painting masters in Western China" was held, and a large-scale picture album was published.

7. In 2009, "Fuxi charm" held the third invitation exhibition of Western Chinese painting masters, and published a large-scale picture album. The exhibition of Mr. Li Baofeng's sketches was held.

8. In 2010, the joint roving exhibition of calligraphy and painting works in Mianyang and Guanghan of Sichuan Province was held. Large scale exhibitions such as "Zhao Jianyue's calligraphy works exhibition" and "China Calligraphy Association calligraphy works exhibition" were held.

9. Tianshui Art Museum has invited Liu Dawei, Wang Wenfang, Wu Shanming, Chen Danqing, Fan Yang, Lin Haizhong, he Jialin and other famous artists to give lectures.

10. Every year on the eighth day of the first month of the lunar calendar, the art museum holds an exhibition of the works of professional artists (annual exhibition) to report to the public the achievements of the art museum's professional painters in this year. Now it has held six consecutive exhibitions. Every May, the Nomination Exhibition and seminar of outstanding young and middle-aged calligraphers and painters are held to build a platform for young and middle-aged calligraphers and painters to improve their creative level and make a long-term plan for the development of Tianshui's calligraphy and painting career. At the same time, it has also undertaken various exhibitions such as popular science knowledge, children's calligraphy and painting competitions held by various industries, departments and units in Tianshui city.

All these activities have made great contributions to building Tianshui Art Museum into the most academic exhibition and Research Center in Southeast Gansu.
