Xingxiu sea is located in the source area of the Yellow River, adjacent to Zaling Lake in the East and Maqu in the West. Xingxiu sea is more than 4000 meters above sea level, much higher than Mount Tai, the top of the five mountains. Xingxiu sea is called "cuocha" in Tibetan, which means "huahaizi". The terrain here is a long and narrow basin, more than 30 kilometers long from east to west and more than 10 kilometers wide from north to south. The water of the Yellow River has moved here, because the terrain is gentle, the river surface suddenly widens, and the flow velocity also slows down. The water flowing everywhere forms a large marsh and many lakes here. In this small basin, there are hundreds of lakes of different sizes and shapes. The big ones are hundreds of square meters, and the small ones are only a few square meters. When you look up from a high altitude, these lakes are shining in the sunlight, just like the twinkling stars in the night sky. This is probably the origin of the name of Xingxiu sea.

Xingsuhai (x ī ng Xi ù h ǎ I), located in Maduo County, Guoluo Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province, is adjacent to Zaling Lake in the East and Maqu, the source of the Yellow River in the West. Xingxiu sea is more than 4000 meters above sea level, nearly three times as high as Mount Tai, the top of the five mountains. Xingxiu sea is called "cuocha" in Tibetan, which means "huahaizi". The terrain here is a long and narrow basin, more than 30 kilometers long from east to west and more than 10 kilometers wide from north to south.
history
According to historical records, during Zhenguan period of Tang Dynasty, Li Jing, Hou Junji, Li daozong and others once "visited Sichuan, Dabai sea, Jishishan and Heyuan." Since the Tang and Song Dynasties, Xingxiu sea has long been called the source of the Yellow River. After the Yuan Dynasty special envoy Dushi was ordered to survey Heyuan, he said that Heyuan was in the west of gagansi. He said that "there are more than 100 springs, or springs or springs, and the water is as lax as lax, so you can get 70 or 80 Li, and you are drowned in the mud, so you can't be seen by the Buddha. You can walk down the mountain, and you can see the stars.". Until the Qing Dynasty special envoy Laxi, AMI Dacai West over the Xingxiu sea, after on-the-spot investigation, that Altan gol River (today's kariqu) is the source of the Yellow River. Innumerable lakes and marshes of Xingxiu sea are dazzling in the sunshine, just like peacocks, very beautiful and spectacular. Therefore, Tibetan people call the source of the Yellow River Maqu, which means Peacock River. On the green beach of Xingxiu sea, there are clusters of purple high mountain asters, yellow drooping chrysanthemums, pink Pedicularis, diandimei, Primula and Astragalus. On the hillside mountains, wild yaks and Tibetan antelopes roam freely. In the streams, the wild geese and yellow ducks play in the water, and the scaleless yellow croaker swim in groups. It's a natural beauty.

present situation
On March 31, 2010, a special press conference was held at the Alibaba publishing Hall of Guanghua School of management, Peking University, Institute of strategic studies of Peking University and MBA Alumni Association of Peking University. The content of the press conference was two photos: the two photos were taken in 2009 and 2010 respectively. The photo shows the mother river of the Chinese nation, the source of the Yellow River and the Yangtze River: Xingxiu sea and Jianggen diru glacier. The photographer of the picture is Qu Xiangdong, the famous host of CCTV, and Mr. Wang Hairong, the chairman of Singapore RH Energy Co., Ltd., a team mate of his "two degree plan" investigation team. They took the photos of the two places taken by Mr. Ru suichu, a famous photographer in the 1970s, and went to the plateau in 2009 and 2010 to investigate the Sanjiangyuan area, looking for the location of Mr. Ru suichu's photos. Finally, on March 15, 2010, we successfully arrived at jiangendiru glacier, the main source of the Yangtze River, and completed the purpose of investigation and shooting.
Looking at these two pictures, people can't help but think of the drought in Southwest China. What is the reason for all this? Is global warming the direct cause of these phenomena? Is human life and production the real culprit? Scholars, experts, Qu Xiangdong and Wang Hairong of the "Three River source investigation team of the second plan" at the meeting triggered more in-depth discussions and even heated debates from these topics.
From the pictures they released on the spot, we can see that the Xingxiu sea at the source of the Yellow River has changed for more than 30 years. In the past, the beautiful lake scenery has become a dry lake bottom and a barren Gobi. In jianggendi glacier at the source of the Yangtze River, it is obvious that large glaciers are retreating and melting.
In 1979, the Chinese government announced that the jianggendiru glacier in the upper reaches of the Tuotuo River was the main source of the Yangtze River. In 1976, Ru suichu, a reporter from the people's pictorial, photographed the whole picture of the jianggendiru glacier tongue. In more than 30 years, no more than 300 people have arrived here. On March 15, 2010, when Qu Xiangdong stood at the place where Ru suichu had taken photos and finally captured the status quo of Jiang gendiru glacier, did they feel happy? Shock? At least at that time, 5400 meters above sea level brought him severe altitude reaction, which is a deep memory. When they finished taking photos, Wang Hairong yelled: don't move east, I'll take a picture for you! Qu Xiangdong responded, but at the same time he hobbled down the hillside, and even didn't seem to be awake.
Qu Xiangdong, TV planner and host. He has been the host of CCTV's economic half hour, dialogue, everyone and other programs for a long time. He has interviewed hundreds of masters from zero distance, covering economic, scientific, cultural, artistic and other fields. In 1998, he spent three months driving along the coast of the Yellow River, from the estuary to the source, interviewing and photographing "the Yellow River has stopped flowing, exploring the source for thousands of miles", starting a journey of "ecological witness" touching the earth with his heart and footprints. Up to now, his footprints have spread all over the north and south poles, the Amazon, the source of the three rivers, Siberia, the grasslands of South Africa, the Andes plateau, Lop Nor, Taklimakan, Himalayan glaciers In the fourth report of IPCC in 2007, the concept of "2-degree threshold" was first put forward, that is, 2-degree is the highest temperature rise that human society can bear. He began to pay attention to and think about it in his journey: why 2-degree? Will it really happen? 1850 to 2050, what happened to our earth?
Since 2009, Qu Xiangdong has launched the "2-degree plan" for the global investigation of climate change and ecological civilization. The goal is to investigate, interview and photograph the places seriously threatened by climate change and ecological crisis, such as the north and south poles, the three river sources and Amazon, pay attention to the ecological changes that have taken place and will take place in these areas from 1850 to today and 2050, and make documentaries . The composition of the team members, in addition to the media and the film crew, attracted more EMBA students from major business schools. Qu Xiangdong hopes that the participation of these mainstays of China's industry can better drive China's industry to pay attention to the global topic of climate change, and actively participate in the construction of the new world economic pattern caused by climate change.
At the press conference, Qu Xiangdong, who just came back from the plateau, didn't seem to have fully recovered from the physical effects of altitude sickness, or the witness of Sanjiangyuan brought him more questions. When answering each question, he always needs to think a little bit. However, when it comes to climate change, which is a scientific, political, social, economic and moral issue, he has a careful thinking and endless views.
It took two years for the photo itself to be taken. During this period, it experienced an extremely difficult failure. In 2009, only 18 kilometers away from the source, in the face of harsh climate and muddy frozen soil, Qu Xiangdong and team member Wang Hairong had to give up after more than 100 times of car sinking and car digging. When oil and supplies were almost cut off, Qu Xiangdong and team member Wang Hairong had to give up. They are still very excited about that experience.
In March 2010, they pushed forward to Jiangyuan again. In order to avoid the frozen soil melting and sinking when they first entered the source of the river, they chose to enter the source of the river when the Qinghai Tibet Plateau was still frozen. Everything is going well. The SUV is thrusting into the hard frozen soil and even the river. There is no longer any muddy obstacle, except for the severe altitude reaction caused by the rapid rise and the low temperature of minus 30 degrees.
However, this photo has shocked people. In the photo, the glacier tongue of Jianggen diru retreats about 1km. Most of the area in the photo taken at the beginning of rusui in that year is already a piece of loess. Although the magnificent glaciers are still accessible, they will soon retreat to the interior of the goradandong snow mountain. I'm afraid it's hard to see the once breathtaking wonder of the source of the Yangtze River. Qu Xiangdong and his "2-degree plan" have made their own voices through practical actions. Their approach is very simple: go to places that are likely to be greatly affected by climate change and record it. Tell the Chinese and the world in the most intuitive way what's going on there.
A reporter asked that a series of IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on climate change) survey results encountered a crisis of trust, and the climate changed
