As one of the top ten buildings in the capital, the National Agricultural Exhibition Hall's geographical location, scale, layout and style were examined and approved by Premier Zhou Enlai himself. After it was officially completed in 1959, the first large-scale national exhibition after the founding of the people's Republic of China, the national agricultural achievement exhibition for the 10th anniversary of the founding of the people's Republic of China, was held, creating nearly 40 years of exhibition history in Beijing. Since then, the national agricultural exhibition hall has been famous in Beijing and attracted worldwide attention.

The exhibition hall is located in the east of the agricultural exhibition bridge on the North Road of the East Third Ring Road in Beijing.
