Brief introduction to temples
Chaoyang temple and its surrounding temples, including Shengquan temple, Chaoyang temple, Tianxi temple, Desheng temple and Shanxi temple, are located in Koukou village, Qiaozi Town, Huairou, Beijing and ganjianyu scenic area. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, it was an important Buddhist temple in the suburbs of Beijing, and then it was destroyed one after another.
In recent years, the Guanyin Temple scenic spot in Shengquan mountain and the Temple group construction project in ganjianyu have been started again, with the new splendor of the temple and the glory of the statue. The reconstructed temples are planned to be expanded into a large comprehensive activity area of Buddhist culture to create a style characteristic of directly connecting with people's heart, integrating with nature, inheriting culture, international diversity and modern innovation.
Cultural Activity
Ganjianyu will be built into a large-scale "home of body and mind" meditation commune and a Qing monastery. The park will implement the concept of "pure walk and life Zen" and carry out a series of Zen activities, Buddhism promotion and various cultural activities for different groups of people in combination with the physical and mental characteristics and needs of modern people, so as to open up a pure land of mind, a palace of wisdom and a leisure paradise.
Traffic conditions
Ganjianyu village in Huairou, Beijing suburb, is a place where mountains stop and water gather, vitality melts and people are honest. Since ancient times, this place has been a place where the gentry has been hanging down and the clouds have been passing by. In the Ming Dynasty, there were dozens of Buddhist temples in front of it, and the Buddhist affairs are flourishing. It is commonly known as "seventy-two nunnery of ganjianyu". Ganjianyu is located 8.7km north of Huairou City, with a forest coverage rate of 82%, mild climate and beautiful mountains and rivers. Huairou is located in the northeast of Beijing, 50 kilometers away from the urban area of Beijing and 40 kilometers away from the capital airport. Beijing Chengde expressway runs through the new and old urban areas of Huairou, and many buses directly lead to the second ring road of Beijing, with convenient transportation and superior geographical location.
historical significance
Ganjianyu intends to build a large-scale international meditation commune, as the core position of Shandi international meditation center, which connects Buddhism with modern civilization, guides all sentient beings with simple, direct and practical meditation methods, purifies spiritual troubles, improves internal quality, understands life reality, and enjoys cool nature, so as to achieve the pure land of Buddhism in the world. Once completed, the Commune will be of far-reaching significance for carrying forward the Dharma, purifying people's hearts, spreading the Dharma and wisdom, building a harmonious society, spreading Chinese culture and promoting international exchanges.
