Jingyu cemetery is located on the hill on the East Bank of Hunjiang River in Tonghua city. It was built in memory of martyr Yang Jingyu. Construction started in 1954 and completed in 1957. The construction of the mausoleum received the personal care of Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai. When visitors come to the park, they can pay close attention to the martyrs in a fresh and elegant environment and remember their great achievements, so as to sublimate their spirit and purify their mind.
The cemetery is 200 meters long from north to South and 100 meters wide from east to west. After entering the country, you can go to Lingtang by cement road, around the central flower pool. The pines and cypresses in China are green and the scenery is solemn. Lingtang architecture has national style. In the center is a bust of a martyr, on which is hung a horizontal plaque written by Zhu De that "Comrade Yang Jingyu, the people's hero, will live forever." the front of the base is engraved with the biography of the martyr. Behind the funeral hall is a mausoleum with a coffin covered with black velvet. On both sides of the cemetery are exhibition rooms, which display the martyrs' photos, relics and remains, as well as the fighting deeds of the first route army of the Anti Japanese Federation.

Yang Jingyu martyr cemetery, located in Jingyu mountain on the East Bank of Hunjiang River in Tonghua City, Jilin Province, was built in 1954, covering an area of 20000 square meters. Yang Jingyu cemetery has been named "national patriotism education base for primary and secondary schools", "national 100 patriotism education base" by the state, province and city, awarded "national patriotism education demonstration base", "national defense education demonstration base", "Jilin Communist Party History Education Base" by the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of civil affairs, the Ministry of personnel and the Ministry of culture, and 4A by the state The first-class scenic spots are listed as the national "red tourism" classic scenic spots. In December 2016, it was selected into the list of national red tourist attractions.
Construction history
Yang Jingyu is an excellent communist soldier and a great Anti Japanese national hero. In 1929, he was sent by the central government to the northeast to lead the Anti Japanese struggle. He was the commander-in-chief and political commissar of the first route army of the Northeast Anti Japanese coalition. He led his troops to fight with the Japanese army arduously, which dealt a heavy blow to the Japanese puppet rule, inspired the Anti Japanese morale of the northeast people, and strongly supported the Anti Japanese War of the whole country. On February 23, 1940, he died at the age of 35 in the battle against the enemy.
In 1954, in order to commemorate the revolutionary martyrs and educate future generations, the party and the government decided to establish the Jingyu cemetery in Tonghua, the activity center of the Anti Japanese Federation. Construction began in July 1954 and was completed in September 1957. It took three years and two months to build a palace style cemetery. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the general's birthday, the cemetery of martyr Yang Jingyu has been put on display again, and a 3800 square meter Memorial Hall of the Anti Japanese allied forces has been built, which is integrated with the cemetery. With a large number of pictures, materials and cultural relics, the museum fully shows the struggle history of the Northeast Anti Japanese allied forces against the aggressors.
Major exhibitions
The south, North and east sides of the cemetery wall are blue brick walls, and the west wall is solid built. The concrete white stone block pattern, the top of the dark green wall, and the center is the cemetery gate. From the square in front of the gate to the gate of the cemetery. The lintel is decorated with four characters of "Jingyu cemetery", and is decorated with red five stars and blue cirrus patterns. In front of the gate of the cemetery is a concrete square brick Yong road. In the middle of Yong Road, there is a bronze statue of General Yang Jingyu. The bronze statue was designed and carved by sun Jiayue and Yu weinian of Sculpture Department of Shenyang Luyi college. It's a full body portrait. Wearing a coat and a fur hat, the general is standing on his feet. He has a telescope on his chest and a gun case in his hand. His eyes are bright and his head is high. The heroic posture of the general in resisting Japan and saving the country is reproduced. The bronze statue is inlaid with black granite on all sides.
On the front is chairman Peng Zhen's inscription "national hero General Yang Jingyu" in nine big characters. Enter the gate of the garden, pass the cement road, and reach the main building Jingyu mausoleum hall and mausoleum at the end of Yong road. Lingtang architecture has a national style: there is an outer corridor in front of the gate of Lingtang, and there are four stone pillars under the eaves of the corridor. The upper part of the column is connected with the bucket arch. Each of the three rooms has four open doors. The middle main door is larger, and the left and right doors are slightly smaller. There is a vertical plaque above the main door, with the word "Lingtang" gilded on it. In the center of the room, there is a milky white marble base. The front is engraved with the resume of General Yang Jingyu. There is a one meter high plaster statue of Jingyu on the base. There is a four leaf door behind the statue. The horizontal plaque on the top of the door is a gold-plated character written by Comrade Zhu De: "the people's hero Comrade Yang Jingyu is immortal.".
After the hall is a mausoleum with a domed chamber. The inner wall is snow-white, with plaster reliefs of Cangsong branches and leaves, snowflakes, cirrus clouds and flowers. The terrazzo coffin in the middle of the tomb has a white clove coffin on it. Inside is the remains of martyr Yang Jingyu. General Jingyu's body and head were returned from Jingxian and Harbin on February 23, 1958 and buried here. At that time, Comrade Yang Jingyu's public sacrifice and burial meeting was solemnly held here. Mao Zedong, Liu Shaoqi, Zhou Enlai, Zhu De and other party and state leaders all sent wreaths, as did Kim Il Sung, leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. The coffin of general Jingyu is 1.46 meters high and covered with black velvet. Around the tomb and the coffin are wreaths presented by the relevant departments, comrades in arms and their families. On both sides of the cemetery are exhibition rooms, displaying more than 280 pieces of cultural relics, documents and photos of the general's youth relics and some of his articles and booty during the hard years of the Anti Japanese war.
