On both sides, there were the north west gate and the north east gate. The surrounding walls were opposite to the Tongzi River, and the road in the middle was very narrow.
brief introduction
After the 1930s, when the Palace Museum widened the road, it demolished the north gate and the North East and west gate, and widened the road to the front of Jingshan gate, forming the scale of Jingshan front street.
The origin of the name
Chen Yuan Zhi Lue: Jingshan, a long live mountain, is located in the north of shenwumen, which is the Zhenshan of Dani. In the Yuan Dynasty, there used to be a small mound called Qingshan. It is on the central axis of the city. In other cases, when the Forbidden City was built in the Yuan Dynasty, the surplus soil from the building and the soil from the Yongzi River were piled up on the original mound and the old foundation of the Yanchun pavilion to form a mound. The five towns are "intended to surpass the fengshui of the previous dynasties", so they are "Zhenshan in the interior". Its original name is Wansui mountain, commonly known as Meishan. "Rixiajiuwen Kao" contains: the so-called coal mountain, long live mountain. Its height is ten Ren, and the trees are dense. It is said that the lower part of it gathers charcoal (i.e. coal) for the use of closing the city. In 1655, it was renamed Jingshan.
Beautiful scenery
Jingshanqian Street
There are five peaks in Jingshan, each with a pavilion. The pavilion in Zhongfeng is called Wanchunting. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery of Beijing. The pavilions on the west two peaks are called Fulan Pavilion and Yifang Pavilion respectively. The two peaks in the East are respectively called zhouhuanting and Guanmiao Pavilion. The five pavilions were built in 1751. Each pavilion has a bronze Buddha statue. In 1900, when the eight powers invaded Beijing, the piluzana Buddha in Wanchunting was destroyed. The other four were also robbed. Jingshan is now designated as Jingshan Park. The shouhuang hall at the back of the mountain, originally dedicated to the image of the ancestors of the Qing Royal family, is now Beijing Children's palace.
On the east side of Jingshan mountain, a little lower in the east of Guanmiao Pavilion, there was an old locust tree, which had withered and died. Beside it, there was a stone tablet with the inscription of "where Ming Sizong died for his country". Sizong is Zhu Youjian, the last emperor of Ming Dynasty. On March 17, 1644, the 17th year of Chongzhen reign (Jiashen reign), Li Zicheng, the vanguard of the army, arrived at pingzemen (Fuchengmen) in Beijing. Zhu Youjian summoned all the officials to ask for advice. The emperor and the officials wept and were helpless. Outside the city, the three battalions of Ming army mutinied, and the soldiers guarding the city refused to fight. On the 18th, the garrison opened the gate to welcome Li Zicheng. At dawn on the 19th, Emperor Chongzhen Zhu Youjian fled in a panic, ran into Jingshan, and hanged himself on the tree, ending the feudal rule of the Ming Dynasty in 276. After liberation, there were Jingshan East Street, Jingshan back street and Jingshan West Street besides Jingshan front street. Jingshan West Street was originally called xibanqiao street. The original shichaqian sea people in the Forbidden City Yongzi River waterway, in the turning of the waterway there is a bridge named Xiban bridge, because the street is famous.

Notes on jin'ao's retreat to food: to the east of the da'gaoyuan hall, that is, to the north of the west gate, there is a bridge with half bricks and half stones, which is called fangluner, hence the name Yuanyang bridge. The temple is preserved as it is and is now a military organ.
