Xifeng hot spring is one of the eight famous hot springs in China. It is located in the middle of Guizhou Province, at the foot of Tiantai Mountain, 40 kilometers northeast of Xifeng City, with an altitude of 700 meters and surrounded by mountains.

Development history

The development of Xifeng hot spring was initiated and funded by Yang Sen, chairman of the province, in 1945. It took two years to complete. In 1956, the Provincial Federation of trade unions built a sanatorium. The hospital covers an area of more than 130 mu, with a building area of 23000 square meters. From the Tiantai jungle down the road, across the Wenquan Town Street, around a mountain bend, you come to the "Baishi Yongquan". "Baishiyongquan" is only separated from the towering qioba mountain in the east by a highway, commonly known as "baishikou", which is the only gate along the highway to the hot spring basin. Baishiyongquan, vertical cliff, such as knife cut axe chop, up to 100 meters, magnificent, the whole cliff is like a spectacular giant mural, rough lines, bold and unconstrained, bright and prominent colors, rich and colorful patterns, vigorous and soft, unified and harmonious. 500 meters away from the stalagmites, there is a stone on the hillside, such as squatting lion, engraved with "squatting lion stone". It is said that a long time ago, squatting lion stone was as tall as this stalagmite, and it was the other horn of the dragon. Unfortunately, it was damaged by weathering, and it was broken by lightning. So the dragon became a "one Horned Dragon". Standing in the distance, the * show is very beautiful. General building

This western style building was built in 1945 when Xifeng hot spring was developed by Sichuan warlord Yang Sen when he was chairman of Guizhou Province. Tiantai jungle

Tiantai jungle is an ancient primeval forest, which is the first of eight hot spring scenic spots. In the middle of the jungle, this grass with small trees is the former site of Tiantai Zen temple. During the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty, monks from other places came here to build temples. During the reign of Daoguang in the Qing Dynasty, Tiantai temple was rebuilt with the alms of the local Ruan and Liu families. The ecological vegetation of the mountains around the Tiantai forest is also very good. It can be said that the forest is gloomy and the peaks are green.

Baishi Yongquan

Then you come to "Baishi Yongquan". Here, the peaks and turns, the white cliff stands, and the spring under the cliff gushes out. The stream murmurs like a natural picture of mountains and rivers. The mountain has a north-south trend, which is the same as a swan's wings, so it was originally named "goose's wings". "Baishiyongquan" is only one road away from the towering qioba mountain in the East. The narrow terrain, commonly known as "baishikou", is the only gate along the road to the hot spring basin. On the white cliff, there is a gushing eye. The spring water is sudden, crisp and sweet. It's slightly cold to explore by hand. In winter, it's warm and moist. It's refreshing to drink. It is identified as high quality mineral water by relevant departments. Xifeng phosphate mine workers' families draw this water for drinking. Whenever people come here, they always want to have a rest, drink a few mouthfuls of cool water, and then enjoy the scenery before they are willing to leave. About 3 meters above the spring is engraved with the four words "Baishi Yongquan", which is said to be inscribed by Wang Zuo, the person in charge of the development of the hot spring at that time.
