The former site of Dehua bank Qingdao branch is located at the intersection of Taiping Road and Qingdao Road, Shinan District, Qingdao City, Shandong Province. It was built from 1899 to 1901. From 1922 to 1923, it served as the Japanese Consulate General and is now a residential building. The building is a typical Italian Renaissance palace style, and its designers are Heinrich sileba and Louis Weiler. It is said that this design refers to the Great Hall of citizens (located at the south end of the ancient Rome square in Vicenza) designed by Italian architect Andrea Palladio in the Renaissance period, only the roof and foundation treatment are different.
