The existing tower is about 10 meters high. The original Flying brick carvings on the tower and the Buddha statues in the niche on the tower have been stolen and destroyed. Many of the bricks at the bottom of the tower have been demolished by people, showing uneven stone stubble. The top and the surrounding of the tower are covered with withered grass, which makes the tower, which has witnessed the baptism of more than 1000 years of wind and rain, look different.

According to the records in Suizhong County, as early as more than 30 years ago, the measurement results showed that the body of the tower tilted 12 degrees to the northeast and the tip of the tower shifted 1.7 meters. For hundreds of years, after several earthquakes and floods, the tower has always been slanting but not falling, slanting but not falling, so it is known as "strange tower".
