Oujiang is named after Wenzhou, which was called Ou in ancient times. It originated from Baishanzu guomaojian at the junction of Qingyuan and Longquan counties and cities in Zhejiang Province. It flows from the northeast to the outskirts of Lishui City, turns southeast, flows through Longquan City, Yunhe County, Liandu District, Qingtian County, Yongjia County, Lucheng District and Longwan District, and flows into the East China Sea from Wenzhou City. It has a total length of 388 kilometers, a total drop of 1080 meters, and a drainage area of 17900 square kilometers.

Oujiang River, the second largest river in Zhejiang Province, flows into the East China Sea alone. It is located in the south of Zhejiang Province. It was once known as Yongning River, Yongjia River, Wenjiang River and Shenjiang River in history. Originating from guomaojian, the northwest foot of Baishanzu at the junction of Longquan City and Qingyuan County, it flows from west to East and runs through the whole mountainous area of southern Zhejiang. The upstream of Oujiang River is an important hydropower development area. Lishui City is awarded as "the first hydropower city in China" by the Ministry of water resources. There is a famous Jinshuitan hydropower station.
The lower reaches of Oujiang River is the center of Dongou ancient culture and the main industrial and agricultural economic zone of Zhejiang Province. Wenzhou's electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry, leather, fur, feather (down) and its products industry, power and heat production and supply industry, general equipment manufacturing industry, textile and clothing industry, rubber and plastic products industry are in the forefront of Zhejiang Province.
The natural environment in the basin is well protected, with tourist attractions all over the country. Jinyun Xiandu, Yandang Mountain, Nanxi River and baizhangfu Feiyun lake are famous all over the country. Trend of main stream
Oujiang, known as Shenjiang in ancient times, used to be named Yongning River, Yongjia River and Wenjiang river. Originating from baishanzuguomaojian at the junction of Qingyuan and Longquan counties, it flows through eight counties (cities and districts) including Longquan, Yunhe, Lishui, Qingtian, Yongjia, Ouhai, Lucheng and Longwan, leaving Wenzhou Bay and entering the East China Sea. It covers Lishui, Jinhua, Wenzhou, Taizhou and 18 counties (cities). The main stream is 384 kilometers long, with a drainage area of 18100 square kilometers. It is the second largest river in Zhejiang Province. The main and tributaries of Oujiang River are distributed in branches, and most of them are parallel to the trend of mountains. The terrain on both sides of the valley is steep, the precipitation converges quickly, the beaches bend more, and the floods rise and fall suddenly. Below the Wenxi river is the tidal reach, usually navigable 10-200 tons of ships, waiting for tide can pass 500 tons of seagoing ships. From Wenzhou to the first 14.9 kilometers, 3000 tons of seagoing ships can enter and leave when waiting for tide.
The main stream of Oujiang River is divided into three sections from the source to the estuary, namely Longquan River, Daxi River and Oujiang River.
Longquan River
Longquan Creek, originated in the northwest of Wutong County, Qingyuan Town, is located at the northwest of the pot cap. The main stream is Meichi, and Mei Xi and Qingxi are called Longquan Creek after the convergence of the village in Huangnan. The township flows eastward through the towns of Longquan, Tian LAN, Long Yuan and other towns. The road passes through the Yuntai county and the county level from Wutai village to Wuxi village. From Shitang reservoir to dagangtou, Songyin stream flows from the left bank. The flow is 197.5km, and the drainage area is 3566km2. The natural fall is about 1106.5m and the average gradient is 5.6 ‰.
There are 19 tributaries flowing into Longquan River, among which the tributaries flowing into Longquan River from south to north are Qingxi (Qinxi), Nanjiao River, Shilong River, Badu River, Hengxi, Sangxi, Yuzhang River and Junxi; the tributaries flowing into Longquan River from north to South are Jinxi, Yanzhang River, Dagui River, Linyang River, Tashi River, Baiyan River and Daotai river There are 11 rivers, such as Anxi, Anren, Anfu, Dashi and Wuxi.

Daxina Creek is later called Oujiang River, which flows southeast. Shiguo Creek and Sidu harbor flow from the right bank and continue to flow East and North. After the Nanxi River, the Oujiang River is vast and flows eastward. On the right side, the Quxi River, Guoxi River, xiongxi River, Huichang lake water and the river water of Wenruitang reach zhuangyuanqiao town. In the center of the river, there are seven dushazhou. The river water is divided into South and North branches. It flows through Longwan in the south, wuniuma road in the north, wuniuxi River from the left bank and nabaishi River in the East. After the confluence of the north and south branches, they continued to flow eastward and were separated by Lingkun island to form the south entrance and the north entrance. The Nankou river flows out of Wenzhou Bay and into the sea; the Beikou river flows out of Wenzhou Bay and into the sea through Huanghua and Qitou.
Oujiang River is 98 km long from Qingtian Hubian village to Hekou, with a drainage area (including Nanxi River) of 4729 square kilometers, a natural drop of 6 meters and an average slope of 0.06 ‰.

Xiaoxi, the largest tributary of Oujiang River, joins with Daxi, the main stream of Oujiang River, in Shixi village, Qingtian County. Wutong River, which is called the Nanyang Creek, originated from the foot of the mountain of the great Mao Feng in Qingyuan County. Songyin River, known as Songchuan in ancient times, is also known as Songxi, Songyang River and Songyang port. It originates at the foot of huangfengdong mountain in guiyiling, Suichang county and joins Longquan River at dagangtou, Lishui City. The main source of Songyin stream is shisidu source, also known as Pingyuan and shangtongyuan. It flows northward from its source, najin'ao River and ankeng River, passing through chengpingyuankou to Miaogou town of Suichang County, which is called Nanxi River; it flows through Yetan bridge, Beixi river flows from the left bank, which is called Jinxi River, continues northward to duchuantou, turns southeast to Zhuangshan, and Lianxi river flows in from the left bank; Jinxi river flows into Songyang river through Zikou after nalian River, which is called SONGYIN river Tongyuan flows from the left bank to Gushi, shisandu flows from the right bank to Gushi, continues to flow southeast to dongguanyuan, zhuangmenyuan, Liuduyuan and Dongwuyuan, flows eastward through Siling, zhuyuanxi flows from the right bank, siduyuan flows from the left bank to Gushi, takes huangkengyuan, Guanxi and Huangyuan water to the port, and Xiaogang flows from the right bank to the East In the hilly area, to Yakou, Yaxi flows into Lishui City from the left bank, flows eastward to nankengyuan, shimayuan and jingjuyuan, turns southeast, flows into namdaikeng, Yuxi and fengnongyuan, passes through tongjiyan dam and goes straight to dagangtou. Its main tributary, Xiaogang, is second only to Nanxi River in the secondary tributaries of Oujiang River. Its main stream is 63 km long and its drainage area is 500 square km.
