Jixian Pavilion is located in Hangzhou West Lake Park opposite to the stone tablet of "late Festival Liuxiang". It is quite famous in history. It is one of the 18 sceneries of West Lake in Qing Dynasty. On September 12, 2012, a sudden storm brought down Jixian Pavilion. On March 8, 2013, the original site of the new Jixian pavilion was finally rebuilt. The appearance remains the same, but the new pavilion will be stronger - the beams and columns will be replaced with steel structure, and the West Lake will reappear as early as the end of next month.

It is one of the 18 scenic spots of West Lake in Qing Dynasty, which is called "Pavilion Bay riding and shooting". In ancient times, the original black Pavilion (Jixian Pavilion) was rebuilt by Li Wei, governor of Zhejiang Province in the Qing Dynasty. At about 13:00 on September 12, 2012, a severe convective weather suddenly attacked the urban area of Hangzhou. Jixian Pavilion, the scenic spot of "tingwan riding and shooting" in West Lake Park, collapsed in the storm and rain, and fell into the lake. Fortunately, there were no casualties. The collapsed Jixian pavilion was rebuilt around 2012 when the south line of West Lake was renovated.

On April 28, 2013, the reconstruction and opening up were completed.
