The western culture and art museum was established in August 2013 and officially approved by Shandong Provincial Bureau of cultural relics in November 2014. The museum is a professional museum focusing on the collection and display of European antiques. The museum's collection is divided into five categories: furniture, clocks and watches, porcelain, musical instruments and miscellaneous items, with a total of 1129 pieces, ranking among the top of similar museums in the country, and the collection is extremely scarce.
The exhibits span four centuries (from the 17th century to the beginning of the 20th century). Their styles cover baroque style, Rococo style, neoclassical style, imperial style, new art style and other important artistic styles after stylism and before modernism. They play an important role in the study of European art history. Especially in China, it is a great contribution in the field of culture that such a highly concentrated, large-scale, diversified and close-up exhibition can be provided to people who study and love European culture and art.
Most of the exhibits in the museum are of exquisite workmanship, well selected materials and outstanding artistic style. Among them, there are many masterpieces and collections made of precious and scarce materials. Visiting museums is not only a learning process, but also a visual feast.
The museum also has a collection of traditional Chinese arts and crafts, all of which are made by famous contemporary Chinese artists. In this way, the museum explores the organic integration of Chinese and Western cultures and is willing to contribute to the comparative study of Chinese and Western cultures.

The idea of the museum is to "let art into life". Therefore, salons, lectures, exhibitions, parties and other activities related to European culture and art will be held regularly to enrich the cultural life of citizens and create a popular cultural place for learning, leisure and quality improvement.

Promoting cultural exchanges between China and the West
It is reported that the museum will cooperate with a number of colleges and universities to build a learning and practice base for colleges and universities. It will provide college teachers and students, especially art teachers and students, with an opportunity and place to touch European culture and history in a close range, so that they can see the world with an open eye and better integrate into the world.
In 2015, the museum will also carry out research projects such as the impact of the Silk Road on the world and the restoration of European antique pianos and clocks to explore the stories and historical background behind the collection. The research on European antique art is still in its infancy in China, which needs to be improved by professionals and collectors.
