YingYuan Heritage Park is located on the street. According to historical records, YingYuan is a private garden of Zheng Yuanxun, a scholar and writer in the late Ming Dynasty. It was built in the seventh year of Chongzhen. It was designed and supervised by Chi Cheng, a famous garden builder and the author of Yuanye. It is one of the famous gardens in Yangzhou in Ming and Qing Dynasties. Because it was built between Liuying, Shuiying and Shanying, Dong Qichang, a calligrapher and painter of the Ming Dynasty, inscribed it as "YingYuan" and presented it to Zheng Yuanxun. The vicissitudes of history make the shadow garden built by Ji Cheng no longer exist, but now the ruins park built on the original site of the shadow garden still let people appreciate the charm of the shadow garden.

Introduction to scenic spots

From the end of Wanli to the beginning of Tianqi in Ming Dynasty, Zheng Yuanxun, a salt merchant in Yangzhou, invited Ji Cheng, a famous gardener living in Zhenjiang, to build a garden for him in order to support his mother. The garden was located in the southwest corner of Yangzhou City, the North Lake of lotus pond, and the middle and Changyu island on the East Bank of erdaohe river. According to the records of Yangzhou Huafang, Dong Qichang, a good friend of Zheng Yuanxun, went to Yangzhou in Renshen (the fifth year of Chongzhen's reign) to talk with Zheng Yuanxun about the six methods. By this time, the garden was basically completed. "There was water between the front and the back, and the Shugang was winding and undulating. It was full of mountains, with thousands of willows and lotus and reeds. In the East, peach and willow trees are planted at the foot of Nancheng across the water. People call it "little peach land". The mountain path is several fold, with dense pine and fir trees, and plum, apricot, pear and chestnut trees. In the garden, willow shadow, water shadow and mountain shadow are in a trance and picturesque. Zheng Yuanxun asked Dong Qichang to name the garden. Dong Qichang said that the willow shadows, water shadows and mountain shadows in the garden complement each other. How about the shadow garden? Zheng Yuanxun clapped his hands and exclaimed, "the shadow garden" plaque was inscribed by Dong Qichang.
