Qihuyan

Qihuyan is located 2 kilometers north of Jinbang village, Huqiu town. Huqiu Shangqing highway passes by Yansi. Because of the terrain, the cave "feifeng Chaotian", also known as feifeng rock in ancient times. The temple was built in 1232, the fifth year of shaoding in the Southern Song Dynasty. It has three halls. The front hall worships Guanyin Bodhisattva, the back hall worships Wugu immortal, Xuantian God, three generations of patriarchs, fan Hou Xianshi and Han Hou Xianshi, and the middle hall worships Qihu Zen master.

Buddhist culture

Qihuyan is characteristic of Buddhist culture. February of the lunar calendar is the day of "listening to incense"; August 15 of the lunar calendar is the birthday of Zen master Qihu, which is the day of "yuanxianmeng". It is said that during the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1662-1722), Li Guangdi came here to "yuanxianmeng" and rebuilt the temple. Today, believers at home and abroad are still in an endless stream, going to the rock to pray for a good dream.

Scenery

Qihuyan has unique natural landscape and rich cultural landscape. There are many strange rocks beside the Yanxia stream, such as Zuixian stone, Xianren cave, gushaotan, shuifurong, wushuzhengcao, etc. There are also many historical sites in the scenic area, such as Xiangong hall, pingming Pavilion, toutoupu, Zuohua, etc.

There are couplets praising famous tea and scenery in the rock temple. For example, "tea is the only wine for visitors; stone and mountain are the most remote places in the temple", "birthplace of Shenming Bergamot", "neishengtian, a general riding tiger", "feifeng temple is famous in Yancang; Zhenming Bergamot is full of strange fragrance", "tea of Feitian Bergamot is fragrant all over the world; Fengyan temple is famous for reading Qianqiu", "red fish leaping on the sea riding whale; baizuzun in Huxiao mountain", "flying cup is drunk and Buddha wakes up; Fengzhu is high and Tongyin is common habitat", and the furnace smoke is prosperous There are many unique places in Anxi south line, such as the fragrance of zudou, the first view of the Eastern Emperor, flying phoenix and riding tiger in the sky, flying dragon in the sky, Phoenix shadow, fairyland, Buddha's hand, the charm of ancient rock relics, morning bell, evening drum and suspension bridge, Yaolin inviting visitors, scenic spots attracting visitors, Lingxiao lonely moon shining, standing on the wall and hanging in a pavilion, hearing the chicken dancing, like a hawk fighting rabbit, chasing the moon "Stars, like tigers in the forest", "chimneys stand up, cigarettes pass the throne; waterfalls fly, pearls and jade scatter in the world", "Lingshan treasure temple, Buddhism is quiet; riding tigers to visit immortals, flying phoenix is majestic", "swallowing ancient clouds and clouds, supernatural powers beyond things; extremely bright eyes, loving mortals", "waterfall hanging in the air, dispelling three thousand troubles; ancient pool water, containing infinite vitality", "riding tigers through the sky, always human They are: praying for blessings; flying phoenix reporting good news from the outside of the cloud; resting in the pavilion quietly, feeling a thousand annoyances of life; facing its water, transcending all kinds of feelings in the world; being unable to stay in the turbid world, when the tiger goes to the tiger, they are always compassionate; flying phoenix is still here, the clouds are steaming, the clouds are blue, and the clouds are long.

Qihuyan is famous for its incense. Every year, it receives thousands of tourists to make pilgrimage and sightseeing.

legend

It is said that hundreds of years ago, there was a county magistrate who was corrupt, perverted the law and made excessive levies. He sent a young Yamen to the countryside to collect money and grain. Everywhere they went, the peasants were respectful, killing chickens and geese, and worshiping the Yamen. Once, the Yamen came to a poor farmer's house to collect money and grain. The family was destitute. The old woman was going to kill the only hen that was hatching 12 eggs. The yam Chai advised the old woman not to kill the hen and said that she didn't want to eat the poor thing. That night, the young yam Chai felt guilty and couldn't sleep. The next day, he didn't want to collect any more money.

After these twists and turns, the yam Chai had no intention of official career and insisted on becoming a monk and cultivating his character. Later, he went to feifengyan to pray for a monk. To test his sincerity, the abbot of Yan temple asked him to stop eating for seven days. The Yamen messengers did it one by one. One day, the Yamen messenger went to Guanqiao rock to guide the fire according to the master's instructions, and rushed back to the rock temple before dawn. On the way, a tiger stopped him. Ya Chai bravely asked the tiger, "do you want to eat me?" The tiger shook his head. The young yam Chai thought a little, and then said to the tiger: "today, the fate of the division is not over. How about I bring the fire back to the rock temple?" The tiger nods and makes way. When ya Chai came back to see the tiger again after taking the fire to Yan temple, he saw the tiger squatting on the ground meekly, nodding and wagging his tail. Yamcha rode on the back of the tiger, and the tiger roared up and disappeared in the western sky.

To commemorate this event, the abbot of the temple specially asked someone to carve a statue of yachai riding a tiger, which was worshipped in the middle hall as the "Zen master riding a tiger". Far and near, the villagers worship day and night, and the incense continues. For centuries, the beautiful legend of Zen master Qihu has been widely spread in Huqiu, Guanqiao and other adjacent areas, so people also call "feifengyan" qihuyan.
