Scenic culture
The villagers of Nanxi ancient village are the descendants of Xiongnu. The most important evidence is the genealogy. With the migration of years and the change of population, the number of genealogy is also increasing. The genealogy was first built in the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty (1573-1620). The first chapter "the origin of Jin family" clearly indicates that the ancestor of the descendants of Xiongnu in Nanxi ancient village is Jin Ritan, the son of King XiuTu of Xiongnu.
In history, King XiuTu was a leader of the Xiongnu tribe who was in charge of the Jin people who offered sacrifices to heaven. In the battle of Hexi in the 26th year of the first emperor (121 BC), Huo Qubing, a cavalry general sent by Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty, dealt a heavy blow to the Xiongnu tribes, and the Jin people who sacrificed to heaven to King XiuTu were also captured. Because of the fear of Da Dan, he was persuaded by Hun Xie Wang, the leader of another Hun tribe, to surrender to the Han Dynasty. On the way to the Han Dynasty, King XiuTu suddenly repented and was killed by King hunxie. More than 40000 of his subordinates returned to the Western Han Dynasty. After returning to the Han Dynasty, Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty appointed king hunxie as a marquis. Because his father was killed, Jin Ritan, his mother and younger brother came down with king hunxie to the Han Dynasty and was appointed as a servant of horse guards.
According to the genealogy of Nanxi ancient village, the descendants of jinritan belong to Han Dynasty. In the Tang Dynasty, the Jin people came to Anhui as officials and continued to breed. Later, the famous Huangchao uprising took place. In order to avoid disaster and chaos, the Jin people came to build a village in the mountains of Nanxi in Chizhou and settled down, and built ancestral temples to sacrifice their ancestors.
