Caoxian cave is located in a mountain depression 25 kilometers west of Mancheng District, Baoding City, Hebei Province. It has been a Taoist holy land since the northern and Southern Dynasties, and there is Qingxu mountain nearby. The depth of the cave is unknown. Some caves have been developed. The cave is warm in winter and cool in summer. There is a natural river in the cave. There are natural Paleozoic fish fossils on the top of the cave. Caoxian cave is the place where the legendary eight immortals cross the sea and uncle Caoxian rises to immortality. It's a jade cave. The cave is made of natural jade. It's very beautiful under the light. It's a rare place to visit.

brief introduction

Caoxian cave is 350 meters long from north to south, 30 meters wide from east to west, and 8 meters at the top. It is warm in winter and cool in summer, with many landscapes. On the left side of the tunnel wall 10 meters away from the entrance, there are two stone pillars, 2 meters high and more than 1 meter in diameter. The surface of the stone column is like flowing under the liquid, scattered and disordered, and its surface is milky white as jade, so it is called "jade column". On the sloping stone wall in front of the jade pillar, there is a pig shaped stone, known as "pig Fairy". Not far from Zhuxian, there is a huge stone arch, like a peaceful turtle carrying a "longmao stone tablet". There is a 5-foot-high, 5-foot-long boulder lying in the middle of the cave, commonly known as "immortal opera name". Further to the deep, there is a stone platform on the left side wall, on which there is a clear water, called "xiaotianhe". The water is full, clear and sweet, and does not dry up in dry years. Not far from Tianhe, there are several lifelike stone dragons dancing in the water, which are called "earth dragons".

Transportation: caoxiandong is 40 kilometers away from Baoding city and 20 kilometers away from Mancheng County. Take bus No.10 from Baoding to Mancheng, and then transfer to bus No.10 from urban and rural areas in the county. About 1.5 hours. It takes about 50 minutes to drive from Baoding, along Baolai Road, through Mancheng County, to Tuonan, and along the road signs.
