Xixiaotianchi is also a barrier lake formed in the ancient glacier movement. It mainly depends on the Tianchi Lake for water supply. Tianchi, dongxiaotianchi and xixiaotianchi can be called "mother daughter pool". The big Tianchi is the mother, and the East and West small Tianchi is the daughter. Therefore, the East and West small Tianchi are also called sister pools. The East small Tianchi is located in the East with high terrain and slightly larger pool, which is the "elder sister". The West small Tianchi is located in the West with low terrain and small pool, which is the "younger sister". The two pools are "several kilometers apart, and all the way through the mountains.".

The West Xiaotianchi is located on the side of the "50pan" road. Visitors can see it clearly from the window of the car, so it is also called "Xiaolongtan", "xiaolongqiu", "baihetang" and so on.
