Hulunbeier ancient city
Hulunbuir ancient city, also known as Hulunbuir City, is located in the area of Zhengyang Street, Hailar District, Hulunbuir city. It was built in 1734.
As early as the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty, the Qing government built a city to defend the northern border of Erguna River, which was defined by the Treaty of nebuchu. Since its establishment 273 years ago, the city has played a great historical role in defending the border of the motherland. With the strengthening of political and military functions, the position of trade and transportation center has naturally formed. During the reign of Emperor Qianlong, merchants from Jin, Ji and Lu came one after another from far away. They competed to buy land, build houses and set up shops in Hulunbeier city. In Hulunbeier City, there were eight commercial giants, such as "Great Wall" and "Longtai".
Due to the geographical location of Hulunbuir City, it has played a great role in radiation. In the south of Qiqihar, in the west of Dagu, in the north of Zhangjiakou, and in the north of heihantou, jilar, Kulun (now Ulan Bator), the post station gradually opened. The Ganzhuer temple fair, the most popular grassland fair in those years, was formed because of the establishment of Hulunbuir city. In the west of the city, there are two satellite villages, Xitun (destroyed in the war), and Nantun (now Bayan Tuohai town) in the south of the city. Driven by Hulunbuir City, Hulunbuir grassland flourished unprecedentedly. As an important cultural relic in our city, the protection of Hulunbeier city is of great significance. The establishment of the ancient city can not only increase the sense of city history, enhance the city grade, become a highlight of urban construction, but also become a fulcrum of tourism.
Hulunbuir city and Aihui city were the only two border defense cities set up in Heilongjiang Province during the reign of Yongzheng of Qing Dynasty. They were very famous at that time. Hailar District began to "restore" Hulunbuir city in 2008.
