Jade fairy rock is located on the East Bank of Taojiang River, 3km north of Longnan county. The area is as bright as jade, the flat land is abrupt, "flying to the edge of the river". There is a grand natural cave in the rock, known as "yuxu cave". There is a round gap on the top of the cave, like a jade mirror hanging high. There are many kinds of stalagmites, stalagmites and stalagmites in the cave. Some are like flowers, birds, insects and fish, and some are like birds and animals. They are lifelike, exquisite and beautiful. They are on the scene, as if they have entered a colorful world. According to records, in the 13th year of Zhengde in the Ming Dynasty, the imperial censor Wang Yangming visited here. When he saw that "the caves and gullies are made in nature, and they are called beautiful scenery, he could not help but write five poems. After that, many literati Mo Hao worked together to create harmonious rhymes and engraved with determination. Up to now, there are 43 stone carvings, which can be called the treasure house of stone carvings. In 1982, it was listed as a key cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level. The stone carvings are just like jade plates and pearls, dotted with the cave walls. There are snake, dragon, cloud and seal cutting with both form and spirit; there are magnificent and solemn regular script; there are flying dragon, Phoenix and silver hook, which add color and luster to the exquisite cave and give people a beautiful artistic enjoyment.

It is said that long ago, Longnan people in Jiangxi asked God to block the gap of Shixia mountain. God sent an immortal down to gamble on the gap. The immortal was angry with the God of heaven. When he flew over Yangfang in Longnan with a long shoulder pole carrying a heavy stone, he deliberately broke the shoulder pole into two parts. One of the stones fell down and suddenly became the upper and lower rocks of jade rock. The two flying shoulder poles became the Lianjiang River at the foot of jade rock and the Wojiang river around the county, but the gap of Shixia mountain remained the same.

It's famous for its beautiful scenery. Jade rock is located in the north of the county, about eight miles away from the city, on the edge of Taojiang alluvial plain, above the red earth platform. The rock is limestone, about 300 meters above the sea. The middle depression is divided into East and west parts, with caves. East rock is called upper rock, and West Rock is called lower rock. According to the county annals, the original nunnery and stone statues in Shangyan cave have been destroyed by burning lime, but Xiayan cave is unique, and the cave is basically in good condition. Among them, the stone carvings survived during the cultural revolution, except for a few destroyed.
