Xindi Drum Tower
Xindi Drum Tower is located in zhaiyou village, Xindi Township, Congjiang County, Guizhou Province. It is one of the venues for the discussion, singing and dancing of pinglou tycoons in "Jiudong" area in history.
The building was first built in 1761, with a history of more than 230 years. The building has 13 floors, 20 meters high, 3 meters high top Dougong Pavilion, and the foundation covers an area of about 150 square meters. The main frame of the building is four columns with a height of 16 meters, and eight short columns are overlapped on the outside. They are running water on eight sides and flying eaves. There are 12 stories in the cornice, which is the top of four columns. The first floor of Dougong Pavilion is octagonal umbrella shaped. The top is a ceramic gourd with a height of 1 meter. The building is surrounded by water, gulouping open space in the north and private houses 5 meters in the southeast. In 1982, the people's Government of Guizhou Province announced that the building was a key cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level.
