Dali Village, a village under the jurisdiction of Hengli Town, Huicheng District, Huizhou City, Guangdong Province, has a total area of 9 square kilometers, including 2758 mu of cultivated land (including mountain slope land) and 7855.5 mu of mountainous area. There are 42 party members in the village, with an average age of 54, including 4 female party members. In 2005, a total of 5 new party members were developed. Among the responsibilities of Party members in contacting village affairs, 12 Party members contacted farmers, accounting for 21% of the total number of Party members, and 60 households were contacted. The villagers mainly planted rice, peanuts and plum vegetables, with a per capita net income of 2991 yuan and an annual income of 20000 yuan for the village collective economy. In 1988, the village invested 120000 yuan to renovate 12 primary school buildings, update all students' desks and chairs, and purchase students' activity equipment, so as to complete the educational facilities and become the first village in the township without dangerous buildings.
In 1989, it invested 338000 yuan to build a waterworks to install tap water for the villagers, ending the history of eating dirty water in drought and muddy water in rain since ancient times. In 1990, it invested 178000 yuan to set up the first village level closed-circuit television system in the county to realize the common cable transmission of radio and television. In 1991, an investment of 120000 yuan was made to build a three format harmless toilet for each household. The open-air cesspit was eliminated in the whole village, and a public toilet beside the small street was built in the village with mosaic decoration and white tiles. At the same time, the village also established a health branch, 99% of the villagers participated in the cooperative medical care, reaching the county primary health care village standard.
