Nuodeng Village: Nuodeng means "hillside with tiger" in Bai language.
This small village, which has been seen in historical records for 1138 years in Tang, song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, is a wonderful place in ancient times. There is a clear record of Nuodeng in Manshu of Tang Dynasty. It was a typical village relying on salt well to make salt at the latest in Tang Dynasty.
Nuodeng is also called "Nuodeng well", and "well" is a salt well. According to the historical records of Yunnan, the well mining and salt industry in Yunnan had been produced in the Qin and Han Dynasties. From the Tang Dynasty, the development of Nuodeng village completely depended on the rise and fall of salt economy. Because of the extraordinary quality of Nuodeng salt, Baoshan and Tengchong have been very fond of eating Nuodeng salt since ancient times. The ancient tea horse road of Nuodeng in ancient times, which extends to Kunming in Dali in the East, Tengchong in Baoshan in the south, liukupianma in the west, and Lijiang in Lanping in the north, is full of merchants from all walks of life. Nuodeng village once became one of the commercial centers in western Yunnan in history. The intact ancient salt well preserved in the village and the former site of tijusi yamen of Wujing salt course in Ming Dynasty are valuable teaching materials for studying the economy and culture of Yunnan ancient salt industry.
location advantage
Besides salt, Norden is also rich in scholars and scholars. Although Yunlong was remote and inconvenient in transportation, the Ming and Qing Dynasties were still full of literary style and talents. During the reign of emperor KangQian in Qing Dynasty, Huang GUI, a famous cultural figure in Nuodeng village, was known as the "Confucian hero in Central Yunnan".
Nuodeng village is surrounded by mountains. The lowest elevation of the village is 1900 meters, and the highest is Yuhuangge, which is more than 2100 meters above sea level. Except for a small flat terrace behind the "Dragon King Temple" on the east foot of the mountain, almost all the dwellings are built on the hillside. The architectural style of the residential buildings in Nuodeng village is basically the same as that of the Bai nationality in Dali area, with the architectural layout of "three squares and one screen wall", "four in one patio" and "four in five patio". However, due to the mountain, the design is ingenious and the style is diverse. Whether it is a quadrangle or a "three sides and one screen wall" structure, the plane combination is combined with the characteristics of the mountain terrain, so the residential buildings in Nuodeng village present a variety of appearances, fully reflecting the harmony between man and nature. Nuodeng residential buildings pay attention to exquisite workmanship. Doors, windows, wooden beams, columns and eaves all pay attention to the beauty and delicacy of carved patterns. There are paintings or patterns on gables and courtyard walls. Each family's main room, wing room, face room or screen wall has its own characteristics in layout and craftsmanship. It is almost impossible to find two completely similar families. It is necessary to pay attention to the screen wall of Bai People's architecture, while the screen wall of Nuodeng village appears tall and conforms to the natural characteristics of various houses because of the scattered main rooms, wing rooms and halls due to the high and low mountains. In the residential buildings of Nuodeng, the "gate" has the most abundant styles and different directions. Its style is luxurious and elegant. In addition, the style of the "main room" of each main house reflects the solemn, simple and elegant style. Many families still keep the furniture, antiques and other things since the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Among the existing residential buildings, most of them are in Ming and Qing Dynasties, and some of them are in the Republic of China.
In the Yuhuang Pavilion on the top of the mountain, I feel like a thousand year old temple for the first time. The atmosphere around me even makes people suspect that there are spirits of the ancestors swimming in the air. Norden is far away from the hustle and bustle, which makes people feel illusory - although it is such a real and living ancient village. The villagers in Nuodeng are simple and lovely, just like the beginning of the world. Go out every day, no matter where you go, when it's time for dinner, you will be pulled in to have dinner with them. The local people use broken brown rice mixed with white bract grain flour steamed staple food, and the meat bone soup is fragrant enough to swallow the tongue. In their spare time, the villagers will pull you to drink tea. When it's late, they will pull you to the fire. If they call you later, they will have a rest at their home.
