Mahazhi tombstone
It is 1.6 meters high and 0.93 meters wide, with a semicircular forehead and a seal script of "the epitaph of gumagong". On May 25, 2006, as a Ming Dynasty cultural relic, mahazhi tombstone was approved by the State Council to be listed in the Sixth Batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
The tombstone is surrounded by a scroll of grass ornamentation, with a huge stone block under it, which is made of red sandstone. In the third year of Yongle, on the day of the Dragon Boat Festival, Li Zhigang, the Minister of rites of Zishan and the Bachelor of Zuo Chunfang, wrote it. It is located in Xiyue mountain, Kunyang Town, Jinning County, Yunnan Province. It used to be the hometown of Zheng He, a navigator in the Ming Dynasty. Now it is in Zheng He park. Li Zhigang, a native of Ninghai, was an important Minister of Hongwu, Jianwen, Yongle and Hongxi in Ming Dynasty. He was an official of the Ministry of rites. He once participated in the revision of Taizu Shilu, proposed to move his capital to Beijing, advocated Zheng He's voyages to the west, and ruled that part of the manuscript of Yongle Dadian was written. Maha was only the father of Zheng He. Before Zheng He's first voyages to the west, he asked Li Zhigang, who had intimate relations with him, to write his father's epitaph. After the inscription was completed, it was brought back to Kunyang, Jinning, Yunnan Province, where it was engraved and solemnly erected on Chongyang day in 1405, the third year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty. It is one of the famous ancient steles in China.
