Gulong mountain, also known as Wulong mountain, is located 1.5km away from xiaonanmenwai in Jintan district. Because of its "green silk around the water color, emerald feather mountain Rong", it has the reputation of "Oolong Emerald".
brief introduction
Gulong mountain (also known as Wulong mountain) is located on the Bank of Jinli Caohe River in the south of Jintan City. It is about two kilometers away from the city. The mountain is like a fist, with an altitude of 21.2 meters, a circumference of nearly 1 km, and an area of about 10 hectares. The mountains are lush with forests and bamboo trees. Before liberation, there were many temples, temples, temples and nunneries on the mountain. In the east of the mountain, there were Pagoda Temple and Longshan pagoda. In the south of the mountain, there was luzu temple. In the west of the mountain, there was Yuantong nunnery. On the high slope of the mountain, there was Jizi Hall (a special temple for Jizha). It is one of the famous scenic spots in the county.
A poet of the Ming Dynasty has a poem named "spring is fine, go boating to mount Longshan", which says: "it's a good day in spring. It's sunny with the guests, the wild water is green, and the green mountains are near. Yan Huajiao delivers wine, Gu Niao calls his name skillfully, the fishing boat returns to the line late, and the auspicious gate opens the moon When Zhang Yan, the censor of the Southern Song Dynasty, visited Gulong mountain, he also left "the color of Gulong mountain is gloomy, today I visit the Emperor..." Beautiful lines of poetry.
Due to the beautiful scenery and outstanding people in Gulong mountain, Maoshan Academy in the county was built on the right of Xinxing temple in Gulong mountain in 1271 A.D., which became the highest school in the county for a time.
Main attractions
In January 1997, Gulongshan Park began to be restored and constructed, combining cultural relics with natural landscape to form more than ten scenic spots, such as pagoda Zen temple, Gulongshan pagoda, luzu hall, Yuantong nunnery, yubeiting, fishing center, fishing pool, seismic station, lotus pond, etc. In the garden, the trees are towering, the lawn is in pieces, the music is quiet, the birds are singing and the flowers are fragrant. It is a good place for people to have leisure and entertainment.
Pagoda Temple
Located on the east side of gulong, it was originally named "Temple of Marquis of Hanshou Pavilion". It was rebuilt in 1701, the 40th year of the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty. It faces east from the West. The temple houses enter three times. It is built close to the mountain. There are stone steps behind the temple into the Longshan tower.
Longshan pagoda, built in Yuan Dynasty and rebuilt in the 40th year of Kangxi reign of Qing Dynasty, is of brick and wood structure, pavilion type, 7-story, 40m high, octagonal shape and cone-shaped from bottom to top. There are circular arches on each side of the pagoda body, and the upper and lower layers are staggered. Each layer of the outer wall has four corridor eaves, and the inner room of the tower is square. On the beam in the middle of the fifth floor, a 18.67-meter-high tower core wood is erected. Depending on the fixed position of the sixth floor beam and the roof truss on the top of the tower, the tower top is protruded by 8 meters to bear the whole tower brake. After several wars, the pagoda was repeatedly damaged, especially when the Japanese invaded China, they stole the copper vase of Tasha, which exposed the outer end of the pagoda core wood and seriously damaged the pagoda body. In 1987, master Ying Cheng, abbot of Miaoyin jingshe and chairman of Lingshan jingshe, donated HK $500000 for renovation.
Yuantong Temple
It is located on Gulong mountain, formerly known as Xinxing courtyard. During the reign of Emperor Wu of Liang Dynasty, monk miaogao was founded. Emperor Taizu of the Ming Dynasty lived here during his eastern expedition. In the 12th year of Zhengtong (1344), Yuantong nunnery was given its name. It was rebuilt in the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, destroyed in the 10th year of Xianfeng (1860), and rebuilt in the Guangxu period. A hundred year old ginkgo tree in the nunnery is tall and vigorous, and two stone turtles still exist.
Imperial stele Pavilion
It is located at the top of Gulong mountain. In 1356, Zhu Yuanzhang made an eastern expedition, stayed in the mountain, stayed in the Buddhist temple at night, and wrote an impromptu poem. Later, some people took the poem to stone, and built a stone pavilion to protect it in 1519. The inscription says: "emperor Taizu Gao's imperial system: looking southeast, hidden altar. The only way to climb the mountain is to cross the chariot alone. The smoke temple is circuitous, the cloud forest is gloomy, and the wind and bamboo are beautiful. Spotless, floating life is still nine. Among the guests, there are three monk houses. In the future, I will steal the news, entertain the birds and flowers, and look at the mountains and rivers. " In 1950, the pavilion was suddenly struck by lightning, and the stele was destroyed. The right corner of the stele was slightly damaged. The inscription is still intact. It is now in the pagoda temple.
Guanlong Bridge
Also known as Sheqiao, it is located near the junction of the highway from Xiaonanmen to Gulongshan and Zhenguang road. Because of the passage of emperor Taizu of the Ming Dynasty, the villagers changed their name to Guanlong bridge, which has lasted till now.
Historical allusions
Interestingly, Gu Longshan also had a good relationship with the Ming Emperor Zhu Yuanzhang. In the 16th year of Zhizheng reign of the Yuan Dynasty (1356 AD), Zhu Yuanzhang led the rebel army to attack Jiqing road. He fought with Gao Wulang in Jintan area and once stationed in Gulong mountain. He praised the scenery here very much. He wrote an impromptu poem: "looking at the hidden altar in the southwest, crossing the chariot alone, climbing the mountain at random, the smoke temple is circuitous, the cloud forest is gloomy, the wind and bamboo are Shanshan, spotless, floating nine, and the guest is in the middle Yes, there are three rooms in the monk's house. In the future, they will enjoy their leisure and enjoy the scenery After Zhu Yuanzhang became the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty, this word was later engraved on a stone tablet (105 cm high, 59 cm wide and 15.5 cm thick), and a "imperial tablet Pavilion" was built on the top of the mountain to add color to Gulong mountain.
