Datong City Site
Located about 19km southeast of dalaikubu Town, Ejina Banner, Inner Mongolia, it is composed of inner and outer walls. It is also known as "horse circle city" because of its multi circle horses and catching mounts. This city was built in the middle of Tang Dynasty. Its predecessor was the former site of Datong City of yuwenyong in Northern Zhou Dynasty. It was also the seat of Datong town and Huwei, capital of Anbei in Sui and Tang Dynasties. In the second year of Kaibao in the Tang Dynasty (734 AD), ningkou army was set up here to govern the military affairs.
