Longmen Mountain

Longmen Mountain (Longmen Mountain in broad sense) is located in the northwest edge of Sichuan Basin in Sichuan Province. It is the western edge of Chengdu Plain (Longquan Mountain in the East), Aba Prefecture and Ya'an City (Minshan and Qionglai mountain in the West), and Dujiangyan City and Qionglai city in the East. Northeast southwest trend, including the narrow sense of Longmen Mountain, Chaping mountain, Jiuding Mountain (main peak), etc. Located in Sichuan, Jiuding Mountain, the highest peak, is 4989 meters above sea level.

The Longmen Mountain structural belt has a wide area, reaching Guangyuan in the northeast and Luding in the southwest, with a total length of about 500km and a width of 30-70km. The tectonic belt is located at the junction of the Yangtze paraplatform margin and the Tethys Sea in the East. Influenced by the orogeny, it forms a large-scale tectonic belt of nappe and sliding from northwest to Southeast.

Jiufeng Mountain

Jiufeng Mountain, 3315 meters above sea level. It is a sacred and mysterious area, a place shared by Taoism and Buddhism. In ancient times, those who were not sincere often met with wind, rain and lightning, and could not survive or die.

The name of the nine peaks is derived from the nine peaks. According to the annals of Pengxian County written by Jiaqing of the Qing Dynasty, "in the northwest of China, there are nine peaks standing on the sky, which are actually the crowns of all the mountains in Pengyi, hence the name." What's the shape of Jiufeng? Jiaqing Zhi Li said: "nine peaks, northeast baiqinglong, Zhuque, flame, Tianya, Chinese and Japanese backlight, southwest Xianren, Huanglong, Yuanwu, Baihu peaks, meandering."

The nine peaks are shrouded in clouds and mist, rising into the sky. When the ancient Shu people didn't know the relationship between the sun and the earth, they thought that the steep nine peaks blocked the way of the sun and the moon, and called the valley between the nine peaks "Menggu" (the place where the sun sleeps). Some people who study Shanhaijing say that Jiufengshan is the "Lingshan" in dahuangxijing. Wupeng, Wuwei, Wuji, Wugu, Wugu, Wuzhen, Wuli, Wudi, Wuxie, Wuluo and other ten witches come to the world from here. All kinds of medicines grow here. When they go to the world, they also need to pick some by the way to treat people's diseases. Therefore, the mountain is also known as "TIANTI", "Shenxian road" and "fairyland on earth". It is also said that this mountain is a mountain of "climbing is spirit", "climbing is God", "climbing can not die", "climbing can make wind and rain", "producing medicine that can not die".

Among the peaks, flame peak is particularly peculiar. Among them are deep canyons, numerous waterfalls, clear springs, charming mountains and islands, colorful primeval forests, and unpredictable clouds and Buddhas; rhododendrons are in full bloom in spring, as bright as the morning glow, and they are enchanting in winter. Taoism and Buddhism vied for occupation. In the Northern Song Dynasty, it was a famous resort in Western Sichuan. Flame peak has become a synonym for Jiufeng Mountain. The Jiufeng Mountain is not the nine peaks, but the flame peak.

In history, many monks and sages stayed here. Since the song, yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, the story of Jiufeng's founder has been circulating. Jiufeng Mountain used to be awed by the officials and the people. It seemed that they sincerely went to the mountain to ask for things, but they defended the people and prayed for rain and son. The temple materials are also different. The temples in the mountains use too much iron tile and giant wood.

Yinchanggou

Yinchanggou, a national tourist area, is located in Longmenshan scenic spot in the northwest of Pengzhou, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. It is one of the main tourist attractions in Longmenshan scenic spot, Longmenshan Town, Pengzhou City, kilometers away from Chengdu. It was named after the silver mine opened here by Liu Yuliang, the heavenly palace of emperor Chongzhen of the Ming Dynasty. The turbulent River, looming in the dense forests and cliffs, adds an inexplicable mystery and solemnity to the canyon. The scenery of the scenic spot is different in four seasons. In spring, rhododendrons look like the sea. In winter, they are wrapped in silver. In midsummer and autumn, they are luxuriant and lush. The clear current is swift and swift, and they are flying among them. It is a classic representative of Shushan and SHUSHUI.

Longmenshan, where Yinchanggou is located, is one of the first national geoparks announced by the state. In the scenic area, there is a well-known nappe tectonic generation in Longmenshan, which is rich in strata. The geological relics arranged in a crisscross pattern of the Great Lakes, the ancient glaciers and the typical stratigraphic sections are known as the geological museum park. The Silver River Ditch is the essence of the Longmen Grand Canyon Scenic spot. The high peaks of the mountains are built up in the sky, and the deep canyon is crisscrossed. Geopark

Longmenshan National Geopark is located in the middle of Longmenshan, mainly distributed in Pengzhou and Shifang. The geological phenomena of the upper Paleozoic in this area are well developed and thick, showing the evolution process of the earth's ancient geology layer by layer, which is the living archives of the earth's geological evolution process. Isotopic dating shows that the age of diorite is 2.043 billion years, the age of granite is 1.027 billion years, and the age of complex is 654-767 million years. The Ordovician marble unconformably covers its surface. Muscovite pegmatite is exposed at the edge of the rock mass. The mid Jinning granite intrudes into the pre Sinian metamorphic rocks, which is a rare geological Grand View Garden in the world. In 2002, Longmenshan National Geopark was officially established in Jiulong Town, Pengzhou.

Longmenshan National Geopark is located in Pengzhou City, Shifang City and Mianzhu City of Sichuan Province, covering an area of 1900 square kilometers. The main types of geological relics are nappe structure (klippe) or "glacial boulder", landform and stratigraphic section.

Longmenshan National Geopark is the epitome of the well-known Longmenshan nappe structure belt at home and abroad. It is rich in strata, with numerous klippes as well as the European Alps. There are also geological relics such as ancient glacier relics and typical stratigraphic sections in the park, which are called "geological science labyrinth" by geologists.

Located in the northwest of Chengdu Plain, Longmen Mountain is the natural boundary between Sichuan Basin and Western Sichuan Plateau. Longmen Mountain, also known as Chaping mountain and Jianshan mountain in ancient times, is a famous mountain with 5000 years of civilization. Dayu, the earliest flood control hero of the Chinese nation, was born in Longmen Mountain.

In memory of Dayu's great achievement of "chiseling Longmen, casting nine tripods and controlling floods", the mountain is named Longmen Mountain. In order to protect the natural and cultural landscape of this special area, Longmenshan Geopark is set up.

geologic hazard

Longmenshan is one of the strong earthquake belts in Sichuan. Since 1169 ad, there have been 26 destructive earthquakes, including 20 earthquakes of magnitude 6 or above.

In recent years, the Indian plate subducted to the Asian plate, resulting in the rapid uplift of the Tibetan Plateau. The material of the plateau flows slowly eastward and compresses eastward along the Longmenshan structural belt in the eastern margin of the plateau, which is blocked by the rigid block under the Sichuan Basin, resulting in the long-term accumulation of tectonic stress energy

Finally, on May 12, 2008, the Beichuan Yingxiu area of Longmen Mountain was suddenly released, and a magnitude 8.0 earthquake (Wenchuan earthquake) occurred.

The windward slope in the eastern part of Longmen is rich in rain, which is the location of the famous Lutou mountain rainstorm area in Sichuan. The Minjiang River Valley on the West leeward 311 slope has a very dry climate with little rainfall. Dongpo is a Han nationality area, while Xipo is a Qiang nationality area. Longmen Mountain is also a habitat for giant pandas and a variety of rare animals. Beichuan Xiaozhaizigou Nature Reserve has been established, covering an area of less than 10000 hectares. The protected objects are giant pandas, golden monkeys and green tailed pheasants. Longmenshan is also rich in limestone for coal, iron, copper, pyrite, phosphorus, asbestos and cement.
