Liaoning nulu erhu Mountain National Nature Reserve is located in the north of Chaoyang County, Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province. It is located in the south foot of the middle nulu erhu mountain range. Its predecessor is bishangou nature reserve, which was built in 2000, and became a National Nature Reserve in 2006 with the approval of the state Council.
With a total area of 13832.1 hectares, the Nature Reserve belongs to the forest ecosystem type. The main protected objects are the natural Mongolian oak broad-leaved mixed forest ecosystem and numerous wild animals and plants and their habitats.
Historical evolution
On November 6, 2000, bishangou County Nature Reserve was established in Chaoyang County, Liaoning Province.
On December 13, 2000, it was approved as a municipal nature reserve by Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province.
On December 12, 2001, it was approved as a provincial nature reserve by Liaoning Province.
On February 11, 2006, it was approved by the State Council as a National Nature Reserve, including nulu erhu mountain in Liaoning Province.

Liaoning nuruerhushan National Nature Reserve covers a total area of 13832.1 hectares, including 4899.62 hectares of core area, 4453.05 hectares of buffer area and 4479.43 hectares of experimental area.

Liaoning nuruerhushan National Nature Reserve belongs to forest ecosystem type nature reserve. The main protected objects are natural Mongolian oak broad-leaved mixed forest ecosystem and numerous wild animals and plants and their habitats.

Up to 2009, there are 1015 species (varieties, subspecies and forms) of vascular plants belonging to 412 genera and 97 families in the nature reserve, and the representative constructive species are Pinus tabulaeformis, Quercus mongolica, Populus davidiana, Tilia amurensis, Fraxinus mandshurica, Betula nigra, Betula platyphylla, poplar, Armeniaca sibirica, Vitex negundo, Rhododendron and broccoli.
Among them, there are four kinds of national second level key protected wild plants: wild soybean, Tilia amurensis, Fraxinus mandshurica and Phellodendron amurense.
Animal resources
Up to 2009, there are 354 species of vertebrates in 27 orders, 69 families, including 34 species of national key protected animals; 506 species of insects in 78 families, 11 orders. The richness of each order is Lepidoptera, Coleoptera, Homoptera, Hemiptera, Odonata, Hymenoptera, Orthoptera, Diptera, Neuroptera, mantis and euryptera.
Among the national key protected animals, there are two kinds of national first-class protected wild animals, namely Golden Eagle and great bustard, and 32 kinds of national second-class protected wild animals, including swan, crested bee eagle, Black Kite and Goshawk.

Liaoning nuru'erhushan National Nature Reserve is managed by Liaoning nuru'erhushan National Nature Reserve Administration, which is a public institution affiliated to Chaoyang County Government of Liaoning Province. Its business is under the guidance of Chaoyang Forestry Bureau, and its organization specification is deputy county level.
Liaoning nuru'erhushan National Nature Reserve Management Bureau has one office and four sections, which are office, accounting and finance section, resource protection section, scientific research and education section and industry section; the basic level has four management stations and four inspection stations, which are liujiadian management station, inspection station, tousandao management station, inspection station, Beidi management station, inspection station, guanzhangzi management station and inspection station.
Management content

Management measures
(1) The protection is divided into core area, buffer area and experimental area. The core area shall be closed and protected, and no units or individuals are allowed to enter, except those who have been approved by relevant departments to engage in scientific research, observation and investigation activities.
(2) Any unit or individual entering the reserve to engage in scientific research, teaching practice, visit and investigation, film shooting, specimen collection and other activities must be submitted for approval according to the hierarchical management authority of the reserve and animal and plant protection.
(3) To manage the units, residents and persons who have been approved to enter the reserve.
(4) It is forbidden to cut down, graze, hunt, collect herbs, reclaim land, burn wasteland, open mines, quarrying stones, dig sand and other activities damaging the natural environment and natural resources in the reserve.
(5) The administrative department of the reserve shall organize regular publicity and education activities on forest fire prevention to do a good job in forest fire prevention.
(6) The visit and tourism activities in the experimental area of the reserve shall be under the unified management of the reserve administration.
(7) Safety and environmental protection facilities such as fire prevention and sanitation should be set up in scenic spots, and strict patrol inspection system should be implemented to prevent environmental pollution and destruction of natural resources.

Located in Gushanzi Township, Chaoyang County, Liaoning Province, Liaoning nuluerhushan National Nature Reserve is a municipal scenic spot.
