Xuefeng's former residence is a courtyard built in the second year of Xuantong reign of Qing Dynasty. In the hall, there is a statue of Feng Xuefeng, displaying photos of his life and inscriptions of national leaders and cultural celebrities.

Introduction to former residence

Feng Xuefeng, a famous writer, literary theorist and social activist, was born in Shentan village, Chian Town, Yiwu City.

There is a blue stone tablet in front of the former residence, on which Hu Yaobang inscribed "recalling the snow peak".

Feng Xuefeng, as a pioneer in the history of modern literature, as the only writer who participated in the 25000 Li Long March, and as a "bridge builder" between the party and Lu Xun, his outstanding achievements are deeply admired by later generations.

Near the former residence are steles inscribed by Feng Xuefeng, such as "Chusheng Pavilion" and "Tomb of martyr Feng Shaoru".

In August 1997, it was designated as a cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level.

Current situation of former residence

Drive to Yinan, and you can go directly to shentanshan village, Chian Town, Yiwu City. It is surrounded by mountains on all sides. Although it is not high, it is very steep. There is a stream in front of the village, which flows continuously for many years. On June 2, 1903, Feng Xuefeng, a famous writer, literary theorist and social activist, was born in this village. Feng Xuefeng's former residence is a small two-story building with a courtyard in the middle and a small room beside the small hall. There is a statue of Feng Xuefeng in the small hall, indicating the date of his birth and death from 1903 to 1976. Feng Xuefeng has been working in the fields since he was a child, going up to the mountains to cut firewood. It was not until 1912 that he left his bullwhip and went to a private school to "kaimeng". After graduating from primary school in 1919, he embarked on the revolutionary road. In 2003, on the 100th anniversary of Feng Xuefeng's birth, his ashes were moved back from Beijing to Shentan village, Chian Town, Yiwu. The cemetery is very small. There are three stones on a lawn, forming the word "character", which means its noble character. The four words "Tomb of Feng Xuefeng" on his tombstone were inscribed by Zhu Hongji, then Premier of the State Council. According to Feng xiaxiong, at that time he asked Premier Zhu Rongji to inscribe the name of the tombstone. At that time, he was a little worried. He didn't know what reply Premier Zhu Rongji, who had not always inscribed, would have. He didn't expect that he would soon get the inscription Zhu Rongji wrote for his father. At that time, Zhou Haiying, Lu Xun's son, came to Feng Xuefeng's tomb to present a flower basket.

Feng Xuefeng (1903-1976), formerly known as Fuchun. Yiwu people are famous proletarian revolutionaries, literary theorists, writers and poets in China. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1927 and participated in the 25000 Li Long March. He has successively served as the party secretary of China's "leftist League", member of the Cultural Work Committee of the Southeast Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, Secretary of the Party group of the China Writers' Association, vice chairman, and President of the people's Literature Publishing House. His main works include "song of truth", "300 fables of Xuefeng" and "Shangrao concentration camp"

In December 1937, he went back to his hometown and wrote the novel the death of Lu Dai, which reflects the long march. He was arrested here in February 1941.
