The original name of China Miao museum is China Fenghuang Shanjiang Miao Family Museum, which is located in Bagu Miao village, Shanjiang Town, Fenghuang County. In 2006, it was directly named "China Miao Museum" by the Ministry of culture. It took 20 years to prepare for the Chinese Miao Museum, which officially opened on October 1, 2002.

Development history

The title of the museum is inscribed by Mr. Shen Congwen, an internationally famous master of Miao local literature, and is supervised by Hunan provincial government, President of Hunan Miao society, senior expert of Miao studies and Miao educator long Wenyu The private museum, which is set up according to the characteristics of different Miao families in different historical periods, is one of the first tourist attractions opened by the people's Government of Fenghuang County.

The Miao Museum of China is located in Bagu Miao village, Shanjiang Town, Fenghuang County, in a mysterious place known as "Miao palace in Western Hunan". Covering an area of 2865 square meters, the exhibition hall covers an area of 1600 square meters, including 400 square meters for maintenance and 1200 square meters for reconstruction on the ruins.

There are many booking points here. There is a train ticket booking office on the left side of the gate of Fenghuang bus station, where you can sell train tickets to Jishou, Huaihua and other places. But it's suggested that you don't go to Fenghuang first, but buy a ticket from Tongren alaying. It's about 12 yuan. It's about 60 minutes' drive to see the ancient city of huangsiqiao, then to the South Great Wall, and then to Fenghuang. In this way, you can avoid going back and save time. The ticket price from the South Great Wall to Fenghuang is 3 yuan per person, about 30 minutes' journey. On April 28, 2003, Zhangjiajie, a world natural heritage site, and Fenghuang, a national historical and cultural city, opened a tourist bus. Since then, the two tourist areas of Zhangjiajie and Fenghuang have been able to visit each other directly.
