Eight pagodas of grassland
Grassland eight tower is located in the Qinghai Tibet highway Dangxiong to Naqu about a third of the road side, the vast prairie stands on this group of towers, so that the grassland has a bit of mysterious tragic color.. It is said that King Gesar led his troops to fight here, and one of his generals, Shaba, died here. In recognition of Shaba's merits, Gesar built eight pagodas to bury him.
Today, on the 15th and 30th of every month in the Tibetan calendar, herdsmen on the grassland have to turn from tens of kilometers away to pay homage to the eight pagodas of the grassland. They wish the spirits of the heroes in heaven and pray for their good luck. Some religious believers who passed by did not have time to get out of the car to worship, so they dropped a large number of pieces of paper printed with the pattern of war horses galloping among the demons. It is said that this way can also remove disasters and protect the safety of this life.
