Sichuan anzihe Nature Reserve (hereinafter referred to as "anzihe") is located in Jiguanshan Township, Chongzhou City, Sichuan Province, in the Western Sichuan high mountain valley area in the middle of Hengduan Mountain. Anzi river is located in the northwest of Jiguanshan Township, Chongzhou City, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. It is located in the east edge of Longmen Mountain, the southeast branch of Qionglai mountain system, and in the canyon area of the west edge of Sichuan Basin. It is 101 km away from wenjiachang, the west section of Chengdu Ring Expressway, and 110 km away from Chengdu Tianfu Square. The geological structure of anzihe belongs to Cathaysian system, Yangtze stratigraphic area, Longmenshan ridge fold part, mainly Mesozoic Triassic system. The terrain is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, with deep landform and large slope. The highest altitude is 3868m, and the lowest is 1638m. There are also many platforms in the area, which are suitable for large-scale wildlife activities. Anzi river system is a tributary of Minjiang River and upstream of Chongzhou Xihe River. It is a humid monsoon climate zone with abundant rainfall.

The north and west of Anzi are bordered by Wenchuan County of Sichuan Province and Wolong Nature Reserve of the State Forestry Administration. The south of Anzi is bordered by Dayi County of Sichuan Province and heishuihe nature reserve of Sichuan Province. It is located in the high mountain gorge area of Western Sichuan at 30 degrees north latitude. It is one of the origin centers of Chinese biological species, one of the ancient and primitive species gathering places in China, and the intersection zone of North and South species in China It is one of the biodiversity regions of international significance.

As one of the main reserves for giant panda protection, Anzi river connects Wolong Nature Reserve of State Forestry Administration, Fengtongzhai National Nature Reserve of Sichuan Province, Labahe Nature Reserve of Sichuan Province and heishuihe nature reserve of Sichuan Province to form the core area of giant panda habitat in Qionglai mountain system. Anzi river is the link and channel of giant panda habitat in this area Anzihe has been listed as the core area of giant panda habitat in Qionglai mountains, a world heritage site, and has been listed as a biodiversity conservation area with international significance by China Biodiversity Conservation review.

According to the field investigation reports, historical records and visits in anzihe, 1526 species (including subspecies) of higher plants belonging to 623 genera and 184 families have been recorded so far, including 36 species of bryophytes, 167 species of pteridophytes, 21 species of gymnosperms and 1302 species of angiosperms. There are 3 species of national class I protected plants in the list of national key protected wild plants (the first batch in 1999): Taxus chinensis, Davidia involucrata, Davidia involucrata, and 9 species of national class II protected plants: Lianxiang, Shuiqing, Magnolia rotundifolia, Magnolia officinalis, Magnolia officinalis, Cinnamomum camphora, Phoebe, eucommia, Acer catalpa.

The vegetation types of Anzi River are as follows: evergreen broad-leaved forest and evergreen deciduous broad-leaved mixed forest below 2200 meters above sea level, and the main constructive species are Cyclobalanopsis glauca and Machilus nigra; deciduous broad-leaved forest below 2200 meters above sea level to 2300 meters above sea level, mainly Davidia involucrata, Cymbidium, southwest cherry, Populus, Zingiber officinalis and Lianxiang; coniferous broad-leaved mixed forest between 2300 meters above sea level to 2800 meters above sea level, mainly Tsuga Tsuga, Picea maidiao and Abies faxoniana The main species are Acer, birch, Tilia and Pterocarpus cathayensis; the cold temperate coniferous forest is located at an altitude of 2700-3600m, and the main constructive species are Abies faxoniana, with birch as the main arbor and Fargesia as the main bamboo; the shrub and grass are located at an altitude of 3400m-3600m, with Imperata, Rhododendron, Spiraea, Salix and fern as the main species.

The first photo of giant panda

At about 9:00 on April 9, 1984, Ma Taiguang, staff of wildlife protection observation station of Chongqing county state-owned forest farm (now Chongzhou Comprehensive Forest Farm), staff of Chongqing county forestry bureau (now Chongzhou forestry and Tourism Development Bureau), and Ma Wenfu, Fu Bingwen, villagers of group 5, Yanfeng village, Jiguanshan, Chongzhou City, Sichuan Province, went through telescopes in the then forest farm management area (now No. 4 Forest Farm) A giant panda was found in a forest called Yichuang in chuananzihe nature reserve.
